Little Mix are a British girl group who won the eighth series of The X Factor UK in 2011. The band is made up of members Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall.

they all entered a show called popstars the rivals. the show was to get 5 solo artists and create a boy group and a girl group and then the group to get Christmas number 1 would therfore become the band.
nicola and kimberely were origianlly not in the final 10 but 2 left b4 the show nd they got in.
each week each act would preform as a solo then 1 would get voted out.
in the final there were 6 girls
cheryl, nadine, kimberley, nicola, Sarah, javine..javine got voted out therefore the other girls were formed as GIRLS ALOUD.
against all odds GIRLS ALOUD defeated ONE TRUE VOICE for the xmas no.1 spot with SOUND OF THE UNDERGROUND selling thousands more copies and then going gold platinum.
Why did rhrmics off the xfactor change there name to little mix?
Because they were first called Rhythmix but that was the name of a children's charity and so they were forced to change it. Perrie thought of it and jade thought it was good and the other two didn't like it much but when they got used to it they started liking it, today they're called Little Mix.

Who is the leader in little mix?
Little Mix doesn't have an actual leader. But Perrie has more singing experience so she is the BEST in the band and she kind of helps the rest with the directors song writers.. some people say that Jade is the leader just because she always in the middle singing, but thats not true.
