The reason it is rare is because it's an old card that is no longer being printed. It is also a very good card that is only allowed in the Vintage format, where it is restricted.

You pay X colourless mana, where X is the converted mana cost of the target spell. Converted mana cost is just a number, it doesn't take into account the colours it is counting. So if you were trying to negate Lightning Bolt, the converted mana cost is '1', meaning you would pay 1 Blue and 1 colourless for a Spell Blast targeting it.

It depends on which set the card is from. If it is the original, black bordered card from Antiquities, about $10 as of May 2010. Otherwise, under a dollar, though the fifth edition printing seems to be going for slightly more.

When you copy a creature, the token takes the creature's mana cost, colour, printed effects and printed P/T. It does not copy any external effects, bonuses or penalties on that creature, nor anything it is enchanted or equipped with.

So the creature tokens created by Followed Footsteps do not themselves come with another Followed Footsteps aura.

IMHO Lightning Bolt is one of the best Red cards ever printed, 3 damage for 1 red.

Sorin Markov is indeed a vampire who became a planeswalker. But in-game, he is never counted as a vampire spell/permanent, same as how the planeswalker forms of Nicol Bolas and Karn do not count as a Dragon/Golem.

Protection From: in Magic the Gathering means a selection of things.

The Protected permanent cannot be damaged by a source it is protected from, nor can it be enchanted/equipped, nor can it be blocked, nor can it be targeted.

Players refer to this as DEBT protection - Damage, Enchant/Equip, Block, Target.

So a creature with Protection from Green cannot take any damage from a Green source, it can't be enchanted or Equipped with a green Aura or Equip (equips are generally colourless but it's not impossible for them to have one), it cannot be blocked by Green creatures, and it can't be targeted by a Green spell or ability.

If however a Green effect does not do any of the above, then Protection will not stop it. If a green spell said 'tap all creatures controlled by target opponent', none of this is covered by 'DEBT' so the protected creature will still be tapped. Note also that non-targeted damage (ie, Hurricane) is still protected against because it deals damage.

Lastly, if a creature/spell is multicolour, everything it does, like damage or targeting, counts as being each of those colours. So if the creature is Green/Red, it is still a Green creature so can't block a protection from: Green creature, nor deal damage to it if itself was blocked by one.

Yes of course. You may build a deck with as many colors as you want. It becomes increasingly difficult to win with such a deck. You will likely find that it is difficult to have the land you need for the cards you have in your hand, but it is certainly possible.

it is best to stick to one or two colors, with 1 color, i go 40 cards with 20 land , and for 2 color deck i go 40 cards with 22 land, 11 of each ..............in my opinion white is the best color in magic

Generally you should play a deck of the minimum allowed size, this helps to increase the decks consisency. The minimum allowed deck size depends on the format that you will be playing, for modern, standard, legacey, vintage, and casual it is 60. EDH/Commander allows a minimum of 100( one commander and 99 in the library). Limited (decks built while drafting, or sealed) has a minimum deck size of 40.

For a deck of 60 the baseline number of lands is 24, for a deck of 100 the base line is 37, and a 40 card decks baseline number of lands is 17.

While most games released for Windows required at least Windows 95, a bug in the installer for this game required the user be running precisely Windows 95; users of later versions of Windows had to use a compatibility mode.
