It is different for different people, but it also depends on what type of weed you are smoking, and what you are smoking out of,most people use a pipe, so let's say you were smoking out of a pipe and you had decent weed anywhere from 4-5 hits would get you buzzed,(kinda high) anywhere from 7-10 hits you would be gone. But if you had good weed it could only take 3-5 hits to get you high. It just all depends :).
