Marlin Model 59 were single shot blt action shotguns that were produced in .410 only. Marlin manufactured less than 50,000 units. Value at 95% is about $150 to $175. I believe they were all choked in Full.

I have shot no less than 2 dozen deer with the .44 magnum, and it is extremely effective on deer...using rifle or pistol...and I use both. It is actually a very good choice for deer. The recent development of Buffalo Bore .44 magnum and the Hornady LeverEvolution ammunition, has made this even more true now, than it was before. As for using them on any grizzly...while they are capable, they are most definitely not the best choice for the bigger west coast bears. Anyone who says they are good for grizzly bears, but not for deer has had very little hands on experience...and that is a stone cold fact. Step up to a rifle in the .358 Winchester, the .35 Whelen, the .444 Marlin, or the 45-70 heavy +P loads and you will do a whole lot better than the diminutive .44 magnum on the big bears...the .44 magnum is truly marginal for that sort of usage, and cannot be recommended.

It depends on what you mean by good. If you are hunting deer, NO! If you are hunting grizzly bear...YES! Although any lower 40 caliber gun would get the job done on a grizzly.

First and foremost as with any weapon make sure 100% that is unloaded both chamber and magazine.

-retract the slide/pump half way and unscrew the magazine tube cap and remove the barrel.

-unscrew the buttpad from the stock and have an extended socket drive handy w/a 7/16th socket and remove the screw that hold the stock to the action.

-punch out 2 drift pins for the trigger guard assembly and pull up on the trigger guard to remove from action.

- remove the positive shell stop and the spring shell stops. these are recessed in to the receiver sides and are held in by the two drift pins.

-then make sure the slide is locked in the forward position and look in the action from the under side and pinch the shell lifter ends inward with a flat head screw driver and make sure both are off from the holding post that are fixed into the receiver.

-this will then allow you to remove the entire bolt assembly and shell lifter by pulling it forward and the slide action will come off the magazine tube.

I have an Interarms Amedeo Rossi pump .22 rifle as well that I inherited from my late grandfather. I have looked it over and it seems to be around 90%, one small scratch on the trigger guard and another very faint scratch on the stock.

No. The case of a 22 WMR is longer than that of a 22 lr, so the cartridge won't fit in a rifle that is chambered for 22 lr.

The short answer is no. The longer answer is, you may be able to get a .25 cartridge into a .22 caliber gun, but it will likely jam and be very difficult to get out, and if it fires, it will probably damage the gun and possible the shooter. The .25 has a larger diameter than the .22.

The .32-special caliber was discontinued decades ago...it would be hard to find ammo, much less be certain if the Antique Marlin would be able to operate properly. Metal fatigue could get you killed. Clean it up real nice & put it in a case. Or sell it. Or use it for a trade-in for something useful at a Gun Shoppe.

Marlin 39 Century Ltd were made in 1970.

Some Special editions were dated 1971 but were made in 1970.

Hi, I just bought a Marlin 100G from the Kittery Trading Post in excellent condition for $80.00. I just got back from the range and shot very small groups with this rifle. I am told that the rifle was made in 1965. Whoever had this rifle took excellent care of it. Ray

I had one new in box just when winchester went out of business. Sold it for 1500.00. Not sure there is that strong of demand anymore for them.......I would say 1200.00
