"5 o'clock Charlie" was trying bomb the ammunition dump at or near the 4077th, but kept missing. He was called 5 o'clock Charlie because he regularly appeared overhead at 5 o'clock every day during the episode.

The MAS*H episode "Dear Sigmund" features a psychologist as a guest character. Dr. Sidney Freedman, a recurring character portrayed by Allan Arbus, is a psychiatrist who visits the 4077th to provide therapy and support to the staff.

Aurabels "Belita" Morena (b. 1949) does not appear on the cast lists for either the Robert Altman movie MASH (1970) or the CBS television series M*A*S*H (1972-8). Her first movie credit was in 1977 and first television role in 1985. She is best known for her Benny Lopez on the sitcom George Lopez.

Out of the main/consistent characters only one dies. Colonel Henry Blake (Mclean Stevenson) is discharged from the army and his transport plane home was "shot down somewhere over the sea of Japan" it is arguably and consistently said to be the saddest moment in television history, and is even referenced as a joke in another FOX show "Family Guy"

Non-directly Radar's uncle dies which is the cause of his hardship discharge and leaving of the show.

The hamster's name was ' Dopey ' .

Virginia Elizabeth "Geena" Davis (b. 1956) started working on television in the fall of 1983, and she is not on the cast lists for either Robert Altman's movie MASH nor the CBS television series M*A*S*H (1972-83). Ms Davis is an actress, film producer, writer, former fashion model and a women's Olympics archery team semi-finalist.

Michael Lerner appeared in the M*A*S*H episode entitled For Want of a Boot. Lerner resembles Knight, but sounds nothing like him. More details available in the related link below.

As is mentioned many times in the show, Last of the Mohicans is Hawkeye's father's favourite book. In his will Hawkeye leaves Colonel Potter the copy that Hawkeye's father gave to Hawkeye.

Nine doctors, 29 nurses and some 159 other soldiers which in all make up a typical MASH unit.

MASH 4077-the TV Series, although was very correct in their medical protocal but seriously lacked the number of people it really takes to run a MASH.

Cpl Max Klinger was a character in CBS television series M*A*S*H (1972-83) as played by Jamie Farr. In the early years of the show, Klinger was dressing as a female in order to get a Section 8 out of the Army. He wore size 10 pumps and a variety of ladies gowns showing off his hairy chest.

Sutherland was born in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. He spent most of his childhood in Hampton, New Brunswick while moving to Nova Scotia for his teen years. Donald went to college at Victoria College, University of Toronto. He left Canada for England to study at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art in the 60s.

For the CBS television series M*A*S*H (1972-83) there are no records of an actor with a glass eye. However, Gary Burghoff (Radar O'Reilly) does have a congenital deformity of three fingers on his left hand. He always kept that hand away from the camera, usually hidden by a clipboard.

Larry Linville (1939-2000) played the surgeon, Maj Frank Burns, in the CBS television series M*A*S*H from 1972 until 1977. Afterwards he kept busy with roles in both television and the movies. He was married 5 times - all but the first marriage was after he left M*A*S*H. He died in 2000 after complications from lung cancer surgery.
