4. Replace the drain plug.
5. Apply oil on the threads of the oil filter, and on the rubber O-ring of the filter.
6. Replace the oil filter on the engine.
7. Open the Oil cap on top of the engine.
8. Add 4 quarts of 10W-30 or 5W-30 oil.
9. Replace the oil cap.
10. Recycle oil
What you are smelling are the hyrdocarbons, which are the more damaging portions of gasoline to the environment. It may be a leak in the evaporative system, but being that you smell in in the rear of the car, it's probably the Charcoal Evap Cannister, or the hose leading to it.
The cannister is responsible for filtering out hydrocarbons from evaporating gas before it hits the air. If it's dead or not working this would be the fumes you'd smell. The cannister about the size of a golf ball and is typically hanging at the top of the rear passenger fender well.
Side of your steering wheel, and on the switch youll see stamped "CRUISE CONTROL" and "ON-OFF"
Standard 5x7 or 6x8 sizes will fit the Miata. Please note whether you have a Bose or non-Bose speakers when attempting to replace them, as it will make a difference in terms of the speakers you need to purchase.
Standard speakers use a 4-ohm coil, but the Bose speakers, common on most Miatas require 1/2 ohm speakers.
It is also possible to fit 8" woofers directly into the doors. Visit clearwateraudio.com for Miata-specific, aftermarket speaker solutions.
Not difficult at all. You just need to loosen the tension bolts and pull it out.

remove the licence plate, open the tailgate, remove the cover on the pulldown strap, remove the 10mm bolt that secures the strap, remove the panel by prying one of the lower corners and then pulling the panel to release the plastic fasteners. push the panel up toward the top to release the panel from the gate. there is a black panel with about 10 10mm screws in it, remove them all then pull the panel away from the gate. let it hang on the wires attached to it, theyll be fine. inside youll find some studs protruding through, opposite where the panel is. remove the nuts on these also the nuts securing the tailgate lock cylinder, the wire connector on the cylinder, and the wire connector for the lic. plate lights. then (carefully!) take long needle nose pliers and release the plastic clips that hold the panel in place. there are like 6, they are hard as hell to get to and release for a first timer and if you break too many, you have to buy a panel to replace it!

If you do not have a key to the trunk of a 1991 Mazda Miata, there is a way to get into it. You would (first) have to take off the back license plate. The lock sticks out about 2-3 inches. You would then have use a drill (electric) to unscrew 2 screws. This would take off the lock and let you into the trunk.
it should be in the air intake box, i beleave on the right side of the engine compartment, or it may be before the box (the bit with the air filter) normally after or on the inside of the the filter.
Answerit is in the airbox. its the only thing on the airbox with wires connected to it. its removed by simply pulling on it. if your air box has a little hole in it, the sensor has been removed. look around the area for a couple of wires with what looks like a black plastic bullet plugged into the end of it. just stick the bullet into the hole and youll be fine.
