To get to it, go to the Landing Site in Tallon Overworld after getting the Gravity Suit in Phendrana Drifts. From there, go to the Frigate Crash Site and enter the ship. Make your way through the ship until you get to the Great Tree Hall. Scale the tree and open the Ice door with your Ice Beam to access the Transport to Phazon Mines East. It's annoying going through the ship every time you want to get there, but I hope this helps. :)

Samus Aran and Master Chief are completely separate characters, from completely separate series, owned by completely separate companies and playable on completely separate consoles. This is likely a plot hole by the developers. They wanted to give Samus a personality, and make her more attractive to Japanese males (shy, weak, fragile, needs a man to rescue)
So they butchered her character. Not to worry though. I hear in the next game, they are going to try and make amends for this abomination.

Korba cannot be destroyed. As far as the game is concerned, they exist as a way to move you from one point to another (with the help of snatchers) and therefore can't be killed. You can escape their grasp by dropping a morph ball bomb when the snatchers begin to pile on to you.

Chozo statues are everywhere and Ridley never did like the Chozo, although he appreciated their technological abilities, he began to see them as worthless, having let Samus, an "inferior" human, be amongst them. Why was Metroid other m not highly sucsessful?
Metroid: Other M recieved a lot of criticism from fans of the series, mainly because of the way Samus was portrayed. In the previous games, she was seen as having a very stable, assertive personality. She could always rely on herself. In finally giving her dialouge, Team Ninja (the company that made the game) had an opportunity to really develop that.
Instead, Team Ninja made her out to be quite emotionally fragile, and very reliant on strong, manly men. This massive change made fans VERY angry, and you'll find a lot of criticism and negative reviews on internet forums as a result.
While the main gripe about the game is how character development was botched, the control system was also seen as somewhat of a failure. As Samus travels around (in third person,) the wiimote is held on either side by both hands. Thus, movement is constricted by the D-pad, and there are very few buttons available. This can lend to a feeling of disconnection from the game. Additionally, the view will be changed when pointing the wiimote at the screen. This allows you to fire more accurately, and is the ONLY way to shoot missles. However, you can't move while doing so. This can cause a break in whatever fluid action you had before.

You will reach (Eventually from a bit of wandering) Find a macaroni shaped hall. and once you shoot down the door, you will see your beloved Nova Beam, sitting on the platform. But you cannot go yet. walk down the hall, and to your right at the end is a elevator. Use your Hyper Grapple to release power to recharge the elevator. Enter. You will reach a medium sized, arena like room. You will enter a cutscene. three pirates enter through doors along the walls. Kill the first 2, but dont kill the last one. Wait and don't die or kill him. Eventually, the shaft will open, and you need to keep walking backwards by the door you entered from. shoot missiles at the pirate to make him lose his grip on a barrier he was holding on to. He will fly into the Shaft. Ouch. Four Panels will appear on the top of the Shaft. shoot one down. Repeat this 3 more times, and then Voila! Nova beam. Hope this helps.

Combined with the X-Ray Visor, the Nova Beam can be used to see through and shoot hidden things behind solid Phazite, which can be shot through, but not broken.
The Nova Beam is almost a overpowered Heat Beam. It Burns/Melts things faster, deals higher damage, and can be (Awesomely) used to one hit Certain creatures, such as Pirates (Sometimes), Metroid Hatchers, Omega Ridley (You use it when he is stunned. You will also face this boss soon), So on. you do this by going into X-Ray Visor Mode and locking on to the Yellow/Orange Organs of the creature. You then gun that spot down, dealing instant epic damage.
