When she was little, she wanted to follow in her mother's footsteps and become a ballerina but she soon found that she did not enjoy it and that she mostly found her happiness out on the soccer field.

Another reason is her brother Garrett. He was very athletic and he was Mia's idol. She of course wanted to be a good player so that Garrett would want to spend more time with her, or so that he would not be embarrassed by her.

This let her start playing soccer when she was very young and as a result of that, she was able to succeed a lot, which made her enjoy the game very much and let her become a pro and a true legend.
