I think the game you're looking for is spleef. In spleef, the players are put into an arena with blocks they can easily break. For example, the arena may be made of snow blocks, and the players given diamond shovels. The goal of the game is to break blocks under your opponents and cause them to fall into the room below the blocks. The last player standing is the winner.

Redstone is used to increase the duration of the potion's effects, while glowstone dust is used to increase the potency of the potion but shortening its duration, and gunpowder is used to make potions throwable

Them endermen spawn randomly, there're quite rare so just bring out your sword and bow and just go out hunting at night.

To install Forge Mod Loader you install it like a normal mod, either manually of with an installer (I recommend MCPatcher)

You can pause the game by pressing "esc" button while playing. esc button is menu (?) button. Then, the world will stop until you press the esc again and the player "play" it. But on the server, this would not work (even thought it goes to the menu, the player, mobs, etc will move). I hope this will help you :D

The same way you do on singeplayer - right click the chest. However, if you are referring to a bukkit server or any server with plugins and the chest is locked, there is no way to do it yourself. This is to prevent theft and it works very well. Additionally, there may be server lag. This means that there may be a delay before the chest items appear.
