A mod is basically a modification to the game. You can download a mod on the internet and insert it into the actual game.

For example there is a portal gun mod for minecraft with literally adds a fully-functional portal gun into the game; and there is a mod called 'Too Many Items' which lets you spawn ANY item into your inventory by draging and dropping it from a menu from the right of the inventory (it also edits some smaller aspects of the inventory screen).

Almost all mods aren't used as if they are cheats, I like to think of them as free, user-created DLC. Most add new features (How about a team fortress 2 sentry gun or a new material like titanium?) and some even make the game harder. There is loads to choose from.

If you are interested in this type of thing look for a youtube video tutorial which shows you how to install mods into minecraft and use a search engine to find and download some mods that you are interested in.

first you need to dowload the mod you want ( oveusly)

allso you need win-rar or eqivulint ( i recomend win-rar its what i use)

1. go to start and tipe in( in xp go to run then tipe it in.)

2. go to .minecraft ( should be on the top of the list)

3. go to the bin folder

4. then go to mincraft.jar

5. drag and drop all the .class files from the mod and anyother files to there spot.

6. deleat the meta-inf folder ( if its not there then dont worry)

The differences between any alpha and beta is that alpha comes before beta. Alpha is when the game is pretty much roughed out and still has lots of bugs and mechanical issues. Beta is when there are only the little bugs left to fix and is almost ready to be released.

You should go to the site(s) that you downloaded the mods and make sure that you have the correct version of the mod and that there are no conflicts with other mods you are running.

Yes, depending on your current version of Minecraft, you can update it to completely start on a new slate (deletes all modifications). Or, you can open the minecraft.jar file using Winrar and manually undo what you replace. Or even un-install minecraft and re-install it using your previous licence.

1. After registering and paying for Minecraft at the official website, you will need to download the Mac application.

Now's the tricky part because Macs handle right-clicking a little differently from Windows and most Linux distributions. You will need to change some of your control settings in order to be able to use items if you are using a Mac touchpad. If you have your Mac set to recognize touching the touchpad with two fingers as a "right click", this will work to split items in a stack but it will not allow you to use that gesture to use items.

do you mean duribility wise, damage wise, or health wise? Largest Duribility is a Diamond armor piece, most damage is a diamond sword, and the mod with the most health is the ender dragon.
