I bought my 2003 MINI new and have averaged about every 10,000 miles for the oil change. It costs about $75 because they use synthetic oil and it's done at the dealership. The computer keeps track for you, once they change it and reset, it will show how many more miles before it needs to be changed again. It depends on the climate and your driving habits.

MINI Cooper S models do not get a spare tire. Ever. The 2002 to 2006 Cooper S's were Super-charged and in order to create room in the engine compartment for the S/C the battery was relocated to the rear of the car. Putting the battery in the back takes up the space for the spare (as in the normally aspirated Cooper)

So 2002 to 2006 no spare. 2007 started the turbo charged engine, the battery is in the front, but the Cooper S still does not get a spare. They come standard with Runflat tires. Runflat tires give you the ability to drive 80 miles on a flat tire at up to 50 miles an hour.

Post catalytic too rich. 2096 is to lean one of several things is going on and none are cheap. 1) the pre cat is bad not doing its job of scrubbing. 2) pre cat o2 sensor is bad causing car to run rich and post cat sensor is picking it up or 3 post cat sensor is bad and not reading correct. or any number of the 3. there is the possibility of dirty injectors from crap gas causing it though the pre cat sensor should read the same thing ... not sure what that code is. I'm gonna do a full system clean now to see if that will fix it or at least help it.

Purchase a simple battery charger like a Battery Tender, or a Ctek. Follow instructions.

Get the workshop manual of the car. If you dont want to buy it borw it from your local library.

Need a new passenger/driver seat sensor - Had to have the passenger seat replaced in mine

Depends what the problem is. If you've used a phone charger or something and now the "male" lighter doesn't stay in, you'll need to bend the "prongs" of the "female" part of the lighter so that they apply enough pressure to keep the "male" part in long enough to heat up.

To do this, first make sure the ignition is off, just in case. Then get he lid of a Bic pen or similar, and wedge the pointed part in behind the cut-outs on the inside of the "female" part of the lighter unit. Now use your pen lid as a lever to bend the prong-like parts inwards; 1 or 2 mm should be enough. Then repeat for the other prong. Try it out, and lever the prongs in or out accordingly.
