But after Pittsburgh failed to make a first down, their punt was blocked by Matt Blair and recovered in the end zone by Terry Brown for a touchdown. The extra-point attempt struck the left upright and bounded away, leaving the score at 9-6. With ten minutes remaining in the game, Terry Bradshaw led the Steelers on a drive that ate up more than seven minutes before hitting tight end Larry Brown for the final score of the game. The Steelers won Super Bowl IX, 16-6.

He did not get along well with coach Mike Tice and this was reflected in his play. As the Vikings were not yet confident in firing Tice, and as a salary cap move, they released Moss, who signed with the Raiders for two seasons before being traded to the Patriots.

This is a common and unique problem with the Z24 engine. It is cause by the timing tensioner seeping oil while shutdown. The chain actually rattles on it's housing until oil pressure is built up again and brings the timing chain to the appropriate tension again. I have a 1996 Nissan Pickup with about 150,000 miles on it and it has done it since it had about 50,000 miles (I bought it new with 12 miles on it).

I would assume that the constant rattling at startup would lead to a reduce lifespan of the timing chain, but it is actually not common for one to snap. One of those strange anomalies that we live with, because the trucks are so great (and otherwise bulletproof!) The god awful noise it makes when the steering wheel is turned to the limits to the right and allowed to roll forward or back is another, normal bad sounding thing!

As of November 15, 2009, they are 1-6 against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau. After "breaking the jinx" for their first Lambeau win on September 21, 2008, the Cowboys suffered a reversal of fortunes on November 15, 2009, losing to the Packers 17-7.

Tarkenton was born February 3, 1940 and retired after the 1978 season.

Oscar Reed was the starting halfback for the Vikings that year. He led the team with 639 yards rushing. Bill Brown and Dave Osborn helped shoulder the load with 263 and 261 yards respectively.
