the Pittsburgh was the fris..the squad was the defense. In fact, they are considered to be one of the greatest defenses of all time, hence the moniker, "The Steel Curtain". The defense was led by "Mean" Joe Greene, who ironically received his nickname for a hit on Tarkenton years earlier. The game started out as expected, as a defensive struggle. The first quarter was scoreless as both teams struggled to move the ball, but after a Rocky Bleier fumble, the Vikings found themselves on the Pittsburgh 24-yard line. The Steelers came up empty though, when Fred Cox missed a field goal from 39 yards. The first and only score of the first half came midway through the second period when Dave Osborne fumbled a pitch out from Tarkenton, and fell on it in the endzone. The Steelers went into the locker room with a 2-0 lead. The second half started with a Minnesota fumble of the kickoff on the 30-yard line, and after three runs by Franco Harris that resulted in a touchdown, the score was 9-0. The Vikings first score came after Chuck Foreman had fumbled on the Steelers' five-yard line. But after Pittsburgh failed to make a first down, their punt was blocked by Matt Blair and recovered in the end zone by Terry Brown for a touchdown. The extra-point attempt struck the left upright and bounded away, leaving the score at 9-6. With ten minutes remaining in the game, Terry Bradshaw led the Steelers on a drive that ate up more than seven minutes before hitting tight end Larry Brown for the final score of the game. The Steelers won Super Bowl IX, 16-6.

He did not get along well with coach Mike Tice and this was reflected in his play. As the Vikings were not yet confident in firing Tice, and as a salary cap move, they released Moss, who signed with the Raiders for two seasons before being traded to the Patriots.

He was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in 1998 and played there until 2004 then played for the Oakland Raiders from 2005-2006 and now plays for the New England Patriots.

However, before the AFL-NFL merger in 1970, the Minnesota Vikings won the NFL Championship in 1969.

This is a common and unique problem with the Z24 engine. It is cause by the timing tensioner seeping oil while shutdown. The chain actually rattles on it's housing until oil pressure is built up again and brings the timing chain to the appropriate tension again. I have a 1996 Nissan Pickup with about 150,000 miles on it and it has done it since it had about 50,000 miles (I bought it new with 12 miles on it).

I would assume that the constant rattling at startup would lead to a reduce lifespan of the timing chain, but it is actually not common for one to snap. One of those strange anomalies that we live with, because the trucks are so great (and otherwise bulletproof!) The god awful noise it makes when the steering wheel is turned to the limits to the right and allowed to roll forward or back is another, normal bad sounding thing!

As of November 15, 2009, they are 1-6 against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau. After "breaking the jinx" for their first Lambeau win on September 21, 2008, the Cowboys suffered a reversal of fortunes on November 15, 2009, losing to the Packers 17-7.
