• Make sure the opening of the shell is unobstructed so the live slug will squirm out and search for the floor (will happen after 15min - 1 hour)

• Prepare a nose from a heavy fishing line in one end of the line

• Tie a hammer or any half to 1 kilo weight in the other end of the line.

• Carefully lift the noose up to the base conch shell without spooking the slug (else you have to wait again)

• quickly tighten the noose (yes quickly)

Gravity will do the rest. Waiting time is 2- 5 hours before they fall off.

Note: It'd be a good idea to put a bucket in the bottom for the slug to fall into...yes add some water so the hammer won't dent or break your bucket.
