:absolutely. not intense hallucinations but abuse especially among infrequent or seldom users that take 2,3 or 4 (dare they not take more! methadone is nothing to play with) can experience mild hallucinations, which will in turn scare the user (because of its logic blocking anxiety affects) usually. the hallucinations aren't vivid but consist of

realistic quiet sounds like phone rings or beeps that are strictly fabricated by the users mind. they are typically brief and happen once or twice the whole trip, but can cause a spike in anxiety and cause the person to be distrusting of their sense of sound for a few hours. hahahaha! XD most typically when the user is resting their eyes or going to sleep (increasing anxiety reactions because of guard being down)

visual effects also happen very rarely. almost always one of the two following:

sensing movements in the peripherals and distortions in forward sight such as staticky looking or reddish colored everything.

these hallucinations are rare but nothing to call 911 over. the drug itself

- again - causes anxiety so the abuser may call poison control or an ambulance because they are very paranoid after a hallucination because they knew right off the bat it was just their mind playing tricks.

YOU KNOW DAMN WELL WHY it doesnt take much of either when you combine the two to KILL YOU. im serious.. 4 beers and 1 methadone is risky busieness!

This is hard to answer. Morphine can cause the inhibition of some muscle contraction but there is many factors whether or not it will interfere with analgesia.

1. The amount of morphine taken.

2. The user's tolerance to opiates.

3. Would need more info about the analgesia.

If you are on low doses morphine (50-80mg) Daily or less, this shouldn't be an issue. Past this dosage, i would talk with your physician about it before.

MS Contin is a timed released morphine drug, and while it's not a bad drug for severe pain, its relatively short effectiveness period (it's an Acute Pain drug, not a Chronic one) doesn't make it a "first choice" for long term chronic pain. It's good for occasional breakthrough pain, where a chronic pain drug like Duragesic patches or OxyContin is being used for primary pain.

If your pain is constant such that you have to use it every several hours (or earlier), then you should speak with your doctor about Pain Management and switching to a chronic pain drug like Duragesic. Duragesic controls moderate - severe pain for up to 72 hours. Of course pain is subjective and different for everyone, and is dependent on experience, pain tolerance, mental focus, and the amount of damage causing the problem and pain. For example, what I consider to be minor pain can feel excruciating for someone else because I've been dealing with severe pain for many years.

If you're not doing so, you should start keeping a Pain Diary. Pain Diaries allow you to track your pain over time, giving your doctor a visual document to see just how you view your pain. It's also required for most patients just beginning in Pain Management. You can get them in the publications section of the American Pain Foundation Website.

morphine wont necessarily cause knee pain its made to take pain away... however after using morphine regularly your muscles and bones to ache and hurt real bad when your not on it.

unfortunately your question is incomplete so cannot be answered. Morphine and codeine are rlated substances. Morphine Sulphate does not contain codiene as such.

The drug Morphine sulphate is not a treatment for this actual ailment but it can be used to reduce long term associated pain. This drug can have some unpleasent side effects and should be started at low doses until a level of tolerence is achieved. If the pain is constant a time released analgesic such as this could be considered. If the Pain is less frequent, however, a Hydrocodone or Oxycodone based non CR type medication might be more effective. Again, always start at a low dose and increase mg dosage as, and if needed.

Weight is an issue here your weight would help you if you were to take what some would consider and overdose of opiates. The real question is are you tolerant to opiates or opiate naive?

DO NOT INJECT ORAL MEDICATIONS! Medications designed for intravenous are sterile and designed specifically for that purpose. Oral medications are not and you will therefore be injecting whatever else is inside that bottle. It is not simply the case of "same thing different name," it is designated as oral for a reason.

Look at your rx bottle. It probably says do not operate heavy machinery or drive a vehicle. If you are feeling foggy or goofy, you should not drive. If you are feeling tired, you should not drive. This is the same as drinking and driving and you can get a DUI/ DWI for this.
