Sure, you can. The insurance company should pay you a pro-rated refund after you cancel the policy.
There are quite a few factors that will determine how much insurance costs, I would call a local agent for a quote. I recommend you this site where you can compare quotes from different companies: mycheapinsurance.net
Their are so many factors when it comes to rating insurance on any type of motor vehicle. Teens are going to cost you a high premium. Especially if you need Comp and Collision. Its based on the the type of bike, zip code, credit, accident and ticket history, the type of bike itself and a lot more factors come into play. Also high performance bikes are not cheap to insure neither.
There are several factors in calculating the cost of motorcycle insurance for an individual. Some of these factors include your age, experience, driving record, location, etc. Insurance companies will also need to factor in what type of bike you are riding and what the value of that bike is. The best way to figure out what the cost of motorcycle insurance will be for you is to request a quote from a motorcycle insurance company. Here is one website that will allow you to request a motorcycle insurance quote online: https://www.dairylandcycle.com/motorcycle-insurance
I believe its 25/50/15. I am not a 100 percent sure though.

It is difficult to determine an average cost of insurance, no matter what state you live in. There are several factors in calculating the cost of motorcycle insurance for an individual. You must have very deep pockets. A joke in the industry was to stay away from health insurers in a certain state. You could start a health insurance company in this state with only $100,000 of capitalization. I don't think that is still the regulation in that state. Requirements for reserves in insurance companies is more than it is to start a bank normally. Insurance companies never go out of business. They are almost always purchased by a much larger company to support confidence in the industry. Companies are audited every year by the states they operate in to make sure they have sufficient reserves, and that they pay out claims as they should and that they don't pay out claims they shouldn't pay. In order to start a company you will also have to have experienced people involved in the company from the beginning. You need people with experience in all parts of industry management. You cannot start a company without being assured of success. It is rare that a new company is just started. Normally companies are purchased that already have staff, experience, customer base, and capital. Existing companies may start a new company as part of their business but it is very rare for a complete new organization to pop up.
It depends on several different factors. Where you live, age, marital status, experience, coverages desired, driving record, accidents, type of bike, motor size, claims, and many more. Minimum liability where I live is only about $40 a year for liability only for a cruiser type with a clean record.
You cannot estimate rates on a forum like this. Far too many factors are used by insurance companies to compute rates. Some of these are state, county, zip code, driver age, driving record, prior insurance, experience driving, type of vehicle, type of coverage, and many more factors. I have written motorcycle insurance in Georgia for as little as $30 per year to as much as $4000 per year and my office is in the country not Atlanta. If you haven't bought a bike yet I can tell you that a "crotch rocket" is several times higher for insurance than "cruisers". I have a almost new Kawasaki Vulcan Classic cruiser and my full coverage is $160 per year. I suggest calling an independent insurance agent who can compare several companies. I represent 4 companies that specialize in motorcycle insurance.
What are you asking? I do, yes. That's only because I have a motorcycle policy for my motorcycle. You are not covered from an auto policy to drive a motorcycle.
The amount of property damage / bodily injury that can be caused to others by the negligent operator (where liability coverage will kick in) is much lighter in case of motorcycles than a car, hence liability insurance for motorcycle is much cheaper.
The risk of physical damage in the even of collision is much higher for motorcycles (Small crash can easily cause a total loss.) Also comprehensive losses (example: theft) is much greater for motorcycles, hence cost of comp and collision in motorcycles is much higher, assuming other things (values, drivers, locations etc.) are the same.
I was 19 when I started riding last year and it cost me about 120 per month but it will all differ with where you live, what kind of coverage, your credit score, what kind of discounts you can get (MSF class helps) and what company you go with.
You cannot estimate premiums in a forum like this. There are far too many factors that go into rating insurance. Some of these are State, County, zip code, driver age, vehicle, use of vehicle, driver's record, coverage, and many more. I want to make one recommendation as strongly as possible. Buy a cruiser. "Crotch Rockets" are many times more expensive for insurance than "Cruisers". I have written motorcycle insurance ranging from $30 per year to $4000 per year. I have a Kawasaki Vulcan Classic Cruiser and full coverage insurance is only $160 a year. Independent Agents represent several insurance companies and can shop for the best rates and coverage for you. That question doesn't really make sense. Yes your vehicle can be registered anywhere you have place of residency but uhh insurance is who ever your insurance company is IE. USAA, State Farm.....
As old as you have to be to own and drive it on public streets.
So in case they get into an accident their insurance can pay for the damage.
-becuase if you dont have insurens on your house and i burns down in a fire, you have to pay for it all by yourself. if you get in a car reck or if someone totals your car, you have to pay for the dammage. with ensurance you pay a monthly fee and if something like that happens your covered.
