it was the sea it made cracks in the volcano and made preasure causing it to erupt !!!
Given that it tends to erupt in a very explosive manner, mount Tambora has a high silica content.
The effects of the Mount Tambora eruption of 1815 were felt worldwide.
volcanic eruptions create new islands and the soil is very fertile so crops can be grown.the ash includes carbon Di oxide which is helpful for plants
A very Good chance there is no proof to show that it is unactive at this point

The eruption impacted wildlife because when the volcano erupted it killed a lot of wildlife the were just minding there own business.
they obviously struggled because all of heir crops had died> another factor would definitely be that most animals also died which means no meat and that leaves us with water. many people died simply because there was no water and a human body can't survive 3 days without water. i think that there were no people in that area that survived the explosion or even all the other factors. so really people couldn't have coped
The 1815 eruption of Mount Tambora was highly explosive. The largest in recorded history.
Starting in 1812 and presumably through 1813 Mount Tambora show its first signs of activity, producing earthquakes and releasing some ash and gas.
The main event happened in April of 1815 when a series of eruptions, culminating in the largest volcanic eruption in recorded history. The material released by the eruption lowered global temperatures, leading to what people in Europe and North America called the "year without a summer."
