because everyone is different you should think about the people. Do you hhave a lot of friends that dont drink a lot or do you have a lot who love soda. I recently went to a party of 12 people and 4 adults. Together we used up about 5. Go from there.

There's no real specific answer for this question. It depends where you are, really. Geographically and otherwise.
