What are the two main functions of the spine?
There are 4 curvatures of the spine: cervical, thoracic, lumbar, and sacral. During embryogenesis the spine is all curved in one direction, like the letter C with your feet and head next to each other. A cervical and lumbar curvatures are formed and the other two, sacral and thoracic, occur just as a continuation of the curvature that existed before. The cervical curvature exists so that our heads can be upright as opposed to pointing to the floor. The lumbar curvature occurs so that we can stand upright and walk on two legs. This curvature allows the weight of the body to placed directly downwards on the sacral spine. Hope that helps
What is the visceral muscle known as?

How can your muscles produce enough energy to function properly?
Well, your body always has some kind of energy. If you eat, then it can use the food for energy for quite a while. If that runs out because you haven't eaten for a long time, then your body will start using fat for energy. If that runs out, then it will start using muscle (which is very bad, since your heart is a muscle). If you are very low on immediately available energy, your body will react by making you feel tired, so that it has time to convert more energy while your body sleeps.
