They two worked in special effects together. They came up with the idea of a show after receiving numerous questions as to myths from their workmates.
Jamie first had the idea, but considered himself too boring to host the show alone, so asked Adam to join him.

The original concept for what is now Mythbusters came from Australian producer, Peter Rees, of Beyond Productions. The number of times a piece of paper, or other non compressible material, is not 7 but only limited by the dimensions of the paper. She folded paper and gold in half twelve times.

She was a consultant to the Mythbusters TV program that folded 17 taped sheets of paper some 11 times.

Mythbusters is apparently a family show, so the material in the banned episode wasn't appropriate for younger kids.

Yes, Erik Gates was an amateur rocketeer who appeared on several episodes of "Mythbusters". He died following an accident in Southern California on Dec. 20 in Newbury Park, California, after falling through a skylight at the headquarters of Xirrus Inc. He owned an electrical company and was doing contract work at the building, according to the Ventura County Star.

She left on good terms with the myth busters to pursue her dreams to the fullest.

As a private group, the "Mythbusters" are not obliged to tell anyone - - other than the IRS - - their salaries, so you won't find it on any website.

Most likely, the Discovery Channel provides them with a certain budget for filming and salary (similar documentary/reality-based TV show budgets are only about $150,000; the real cost is in the production, not the "actors"). The rest comes from advertisers and the public, private, and government sectors, who don't mind giving their goods and services at little or no cost in return for free (inter?)national advertising and goodwill.

Salary-based websites show regular actors with speaking roles (as opposed to walk-ons, extras, supernumeries, etc), having salaries starting at about $40,000; given their non-luxury looks and probable bohemian lifestyles, it's doubtful that any of the Mythbusters make substantially more than that.
