Rocky Carroll plays the character of the NCIS Director Leon Vance. Leon Vance joined the NCIS Cast in Season 5. His first appearance was on Episode 14 of NCIS Season 5 "Internal Affairs". He has been with the team ever since. He also took over as the NCIS Director when the existing character Jenny Shepard gets killed at the end of season 5

Joining them is Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette) a gifted forensics specialist whose dark wit matches her goth-style hair and clothes, and Dr Donald 'Ducky' Mallard (David McCallum) a medical examiner.

Through season one a new character is introduced- Special Agent Tim McGee ( Sean Murray) whose computer skills is a very big part of the NCIS team.

Special Agent Caitlin 'Kate' Todd (Sasha Alexander) , a former United States Secret Service agent, had brought her intelligence and gusty personality to the team through first two seasons, until May 24th while, during her duty, she was shot and murdered by a terrorist called Ari Haswari.

In season three, the team welcomed Mossad officer Ziva David (cote de Pablo), who took Kate's place in the team. the team also got a new director, Jenny Shepard (Lauren Holly). After her death at the end of season 5, the team got a new director, Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll).

Leon then separated up the team; sending Ziva back to Israel, McGee to a cyber crimes unit and Tony overseas as the 'agent afloat'. Gibbs was given a new team, one member of whom was a traitor. Special Agent Michelle Lee was found as the traitor, but sacrificed herself to save Gibbs Life. the team reunites, eventually.

In the end of season six, Tony kills Ziva's boyfriend, Michael Rifkin, in an attempt to save his own life. Ziva feels betrayed and returns to Israel. In the end episode of that season, we see Ziva in a room, tourtered by men, wanting to know information about NCIS.

Eli David visited the United States in Season 8 of NCIS that was aired between 2010 and 2011. A bunch of Palestinian Terrorists also come to USA to kill Eli David. Gibbs and his team along with some Mossad Agents try to protect Eli. However, Eli gets injured but is saved and returns to Israel safely. During his trip he also makes amends on his relationship with his daughter Ziva David who was angry on him.

Ducky's real name(on the show) is Dr. Donald Mallard-and a mallard is a type of duck-so Gibbs calls him Ducky. ------------------------------------- He was teased in school with the nickname of Ducky due to his given name, Donald (as in the Disney duck) Mallard (a type of duck). He hated it, but has grown rather fond of it. Gibbs actually calls him Duck (rather than Ducky) as is the only one who can get away with that!

It has been confirmed that Ziva will be back for season 7. There is no reason why McGee wouldn't be back

In season 6 episode 4 Heartland, Gibbs said that he had just joined the Marine Corps in 1976. Combining that knowledge with the fact that he did not attend college, we can assume that Gibbs joined the Corps at the age of 18. So, if he was 18 in 1976, then he would be about 51 at the start of season 7.
