The Habitats got to enjoy a big feast after harvest in the seigneurs house,they were provided with protection by the seigneurs,the work was easier in New France than in France, they got land to live on and they wouldn't fail to get a job.

New France is the name of the colonies that France formerly had in Northern America, including large parts of nowadays Canada and a large slice of what is now the US, down to Louisiana. It isn't the France you know today.

Tools like Snowshoes, sleigh's, hammers, gardening tools, were all used in New France use your brain guy, use it! Think of all places around the world at that time think of what they had. It will be similar to what New France had.

The Fur Traders came to New France to build Trading Posts, also to bann anyone else from trading Fur so that they could have all the money from all the fur in New France. The Fur Traders where mean nasty people and would not let anyone they could get their hands on make a profit off of Fur Trading. If they found someone who was Trading Fur they would give them a warning to stop and if they didn't, they would sneak into their houses at night and kill them and most of the time their families too. sometimes they would be so mad that they would kill their neighbors to just fo the sake of killing someone. Those where very dark days.

they ate bread, fruits like raspberries and vegetables like cabbage. these foods were full of vitamins and they are very healthy. they need these foods because they have a long and hard day of work each day. they need to stay healthy and strong if they want to survive life. all Habitants have to work hard. if they don't eat these foods (not only the listed) they wont be able to work and their family would fall behind. that's why they have a family garden. they grow foods like; lettuce, cabbage, onions, carrots, peas, beans, tomatoes and beets. for fruits, they had some fruit trees. they grew apples, and oranges. they gathered raspberries, blueberries, blackberries (etc) from the wildlife. they grew some wheat, corn, barley and oats also. these foods would keep them strong and healthy. plus they need plenty of water. these are the foods they ate and why they need these foods.

At first he wanted a trading colony because there was a huge amount of fur in New France. Because of that France started to become wealthier than the other European countries for example the UK,Spain and Germany. Because of that the other countries wanted the fur in New France. If King Louis XIV did not make a settlement colony he would probably lose his colony because he would not have enough people to protect the colony for example the British took over in 1663 because king Louis XIV could not bring enough settlers in to New France. When king louis XIV created a settlement in New France he always bbq'd kfc chicken strips
