On the second night of Rosh Hashanah, it is customary to say the Shehecheyanu blessing on a new fruit (a fruit which one has not eaten yet in the current season).

Newly planted pampas grass typically does not bloom in the first year. It usually takes about two to three years for the plant to establish itself and produce flowers. During the first year, the focus is on root development and growth, which prepares the plant for blooming in the following seasons. Proper care, including adequate sunlight and water, can help ensure successful growth for future blooms.

Why don't some people celebrate Halloween?

I dont celebrate Halloween but I don't for a few reasons.

  • it affends me. why should we scare little kids at night and dress up like the devil?
  • freaky people take the candy you bought and then take more than you would like.
  • my parents dont and didnt
  • on halloween i take place in Operation Christmas Child. This program is where we fill shoeboxes with supplies, toys and other good things for people about 3-14 in countries who have nothing or little. One time a child even got adopted because of it. I'd rather pack boxes and get a letter (which i did) than dress up like some wacko and take candy.

these could be reasons why people dont (like me) but other people have other reasons.

Thanks!
