How long have the New York Mets been in existence?
After 1960-61 with only one major league baseball team in the Big Apple, a few men from Major League Baseball decided to create an expansion team in New York, the New York Metropolitans, today known as the Mets. The new team took one of the colors from each former New York teams, the Giants and the Dodgers, and so the interlocking NY was blue and orange. The Metropolitans got off to an abysmal start to their time as a professional team, but in 1969, a mere 7 years from their terrible start, the "Amazin'" Mets won the World Series over Baltimore in 5 games. Summing up, the New York Mets have been in existence since 1962.

An autograph that is not authenticated by a creditable company could sell at half the price or less than one that is. Two of the top, and most trusted authenticators are PSA/DNA, and James Spence Authentic (JSA). Collectors will pay more for signatures authenticated by either one.
It may sound odd but in some cases PSA/DNA, and JSA authenticated signatures may sell higher than a Letter of authenticity from an unknown or less trusted authenticator that witnessed the signing even though PSA/DNA, and JSA did not. It's just a matter of collectors trust, and collectors will pay more for it.

If you did not get the signatures signed yourself, before spending money on having the autograph authenticated do your homework. Does the number of games played in a season effect the salaries?
To a degree, yes. The more games played the more people pay to watch the game, the more hot dogs and soda they buy, the more programs they buy, in other words, the team makes more money. So, if a team played more games in a season they would make more money, which would mean they could pay their player more. If they played less games they would make less money which would mean they probably would have to pay their players less.
Where does david wright hang out in spring training?
Spring training is fun to go to. You can get a lot of aughtographs and pictures with players. Get there early and you can see them do a BP (batting practice). After most home games from Tradition Field (now Digital Domain Park) the players go to Duffy's Sports bar and grill. The sign is in the outfield. It is right down the street from the park. It is in/ connected to Superplay USA, a bowling alley. Sometimes the whole team goes there to enjoy a nice dinner. They usually get tables in the back of the restaraunt.

I was not able to find a list of batting averages pre 1973 but I know there has to be one on the Web somewhere. I can tell you that in 1925, Walter Johnson of the Washington Senators batted .433 (42 for 97) and that is the best pitcher's batting average I have heard of. In his sixth year on the ballot, Gary Carter was elected into the Hall with Eddie Murray on January 7, 2003. Carter requested that his plaque be half Expo and half Met. The media took this request as one of his jokes but soon realized the legitimate debate to which team Carter should be associated with. During his final season, as an Expo, Carter said he'd prefer being inducted as an Expo. However; with the uncertainty of the Expo franchise and Carter working for the Mets since retiring, winning his only World Series as a Met and becoming a media celebrity in New York, Carter became torn between the two teams leaving the final decision to the Hall. The Hall's president, Dale Petroskey, said that Carter's achievements with the Expos over 12 seasons would've earned his induction, where his 5 seasons as a Met wouldn't have. Mets fans argued that Reggie Jackson was inducted with a Yankees cap despite playing the majority of his career with the A's beforehand, but had no effect and Carter was inducted as an Expo. He was inducted into the Mets Hall of Fame in 2001.
