Maybe that's your BELIEF / OPINION but, you shouldn't post it here as a fact.

MY PERSONAL OPINION: I believe it was written as an Historical Event. You do not KNOW "for a fact" if the words of the Bible WERE or WERE NOT an Historical Event.

I for one choose to BELIEVE in the Bible and it's writings... (And NO.. I don't ask you too believe in them) I don't force my theological BELIEFS on others and, I respect other beliefs/non-beliefs. But I do not want them forced on me either.

However, I do have a problem with (and take issue with anyone) posting their BELIEFS/OPINIONS like they are facts.

What you have posted is YOUR OPINION... SAY SO... (As not to imply you are stating information based on facts) The Bible has never been disproved to be an Historical Record.

Is the Bible an historical record? Again my opinion is that it is in fact an Historical record of Events of that time. So in MY OPINION: The story/description of NOAH and the Ark IS NOT A MYTH (as you have stated here)

People should read The Bible, and it should be personally interpreted by each individual, and they make their own determination as to it's Validity/TRUTH...

If there is any religious truth revealed in the story of Noah, it is that the Book of Genesis contains doublets that militate against its historicity. The story of Noah and the great Flood is just one of these doublets, evidence of traditions written down by two different, anonymous sources, now known as the Priestly Source and the Yahwist.

The verses attributed to the Priestly author are: Genesis 6:9-22, 7:6, 7:8-9, 7:11, 7:13-16a, 7:18-21, 7:24, 8:1-2a, 8:3b-5, 8:7, 8:13a, 8:14-19, 9:1-17.

The verses attributed to the Yahwist are: Genesis 6:5-8, 7:1-5, 7:7, 7:10, 7:12, 7:16b-17, 7:22-23, 8:2b-3a, 8:6, 8:8-12, 8:13b, 8:20-22.

The two accounts are not always in agreement. For example, the Priestly Source says (Genesis 6:19-20) that Noah took two of every animal onto the ark - clearly both clean and unclean. However, the Yahwist says (Genesis 7:2) that he took two of each unclean animal but seven of each clean animal. There are other differences, such as how long before the flood waters subsided.

The Grand Canyon proves that during days of creation the continents were built layer by layer by global Flood before. Each time it would flood the earth for a whole year and rise the land back up. This is the nature of how the land rose since each land continent must be lighter in total mass than the oceans to stay above the Earth Mantle and not keep sinking down deeper than oceans. What didn't happen for 1656 years from Adam until Flood is it never rained. These global Floods were not from rain but from asteroid impact melting the Mohoravic layer between the crust and mantle. That layer is a mile thick and thus will raise an ocean a mile, and drop land a mile, (result 2 mile deep Flood).

The springs prior to the Flood are from an atmosphere hot enough to keep water evaporated in an atmosphere twice as dense since it has 40 feet of water on top of it in all three states from water, to water vapor on top of it, to hail in space on top of that, all three states cycling up and down. This canopy got thinner because previous asteroid impacts causing previous global Floods did rain before Adam or humans had seen rain. Instead the type of rain that was experienced by people was first at sunset a breeze was created of cold air from the sunlight becoming lost and gone. This then resulted in cold air that condensed its water so that it formed dew every evening everywhere, and that found its way to the ground to become small rivers. Water seeking its level came up as springs then, just as they still do now.

The carbon-14 formed 6 miles up at 30,000 feet is toxic to DNA construction so as to age things fast, really fast, making you die at 90 instead of 900. Further, this canopy of water is on top of the air 52 miles high, so that its prevention of C-14 forming at 6 miles results in a date shift of 20,000 years. This means a Flood of 2370bc will date as 22,370bc or when Adam died in 3096bc his body would date as if 23,096bc. Simply put, land that rose at 50,000 bc will look as if to have rose at 70,000bc. This is the max that C-14 measures. C-14 does not measure dinosaurs because we don't have dinosaur bones of carbon, we have natural copies of bones. Fossils are fakes made by God, that is he makes plaster castings of the bones that are gone. If i put your broken arm in a plaster cast, and then kill you, and then cremate you, can i date the cast and say you are as old as the plaster since the plaster cast looks like your arm?

This should prove to you that those ages may very well fit into the same 50,000 years as the C14. Yes it slams the fools who say 6 days (144 hours) until Adam; but it still says true Bible Genesis not evolution.

It is difficult to tell how many asteroid impacts before Adam caused how many global year-long Floods (and some rain due to asteroid dust bringing down some more of the canopy each time. Difficult because major schools fail to display specific charts to how many flood layers or ocean layers the grand canyon has. Some show 9 some show 13, some show 20. If there was a true caring for either science or God, this incompetence wouldn't exist. Money talks; crime makes money.

Mistaken false floods before Noah's flood: example Mayan. The Flood during humans was Adam's 1656am, the death swept thru like a flood in 1996am (short longevity from DNA carbon-14), then the last human-god Nimrod died at 500 in 2256am and Venus and Marduk were still being called cycles of the Flood star. Thus the world began to say the Flood was 2256am. The Maya by saying the Flood was 2256am (their Noah's Flood 3114bc), Prof. Spinden has found a global Flood for 3374bc that he thinks is the same Noah's Flood not 3114bc. But if you note, the 260 years would be Mayan Adams 1996am before 2256am. Thus the Maya have created a Flood in 1996am (3374bc) before a Flood in 2256am (3114bc) because they do not see the Flood was 1656am and that the two following impacts of death (1996 & 2256) were results of that Flood. Actual years = 2370bc Flood, 2030bc death, 1770bc the last longevity Nimrod at 500 during Hammurabi who honors it.
