What happened when the dove returned that let Noah know the earth had been renewed?
Genesis 8:11-12
And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf plucked off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth.
And he stayed another 7 days; and sent forth the dove; which returned not again unto him any more.
Where in the bible does God promise to never flood the earth again?
Genesis 9:11-16 - "Thus I establish My covenant with you: Never again shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of the flood; never again shall there be a flood to destroy the earth." 12 And God said: "This is the sign of the covenant which I make between Me and you, and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: 13 I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. 14 It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; 15 and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh. 16 The rainbow shall be in the cloud, and I will look on it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth." [NKJV]

Why did god spear Noah and his family life when he flooded earth?
God spared (not speared) Noah and his family as they were the only people who still remembered/believed in him while the rest of the population of the earth had turned to wicked and deceitful ways. God almost destroyed the whole earth but because of Noah and his love for him God decided just to begin again with his family.
How does the Ark of the Covenant relate to Noah's Ark?
The relationship is that several English translations of the Torah have translated
the two different Hebrew words into the same English word. They have no other
connection.
What kind of animals came by 7s from noahs ark?
You shall take with you seven each of every clean animal, a male and his female; two each of animals that are unclean, a male and his female; also seven each of birds of the air, male and female, to keep the species alive on the face of all the earth" (Genesis 7:2-3, emp. added).
So he took seven of each animal that was considered "clean", which would probably be considered domesticated.
Did Noah include on his ark any animal whose name began with the letter 'x'?
Maybeyes, maybe no, Noah may have included on his ark animals whose names began with the letter 'x'. The book of Genesis didn't name any of the animals and birds on the ark. Neither did the book list any fishes or other water dwelling creatures. So there may or may not have been king crabs, who may be referred to as xiphosuran. The name comes from their scientific classification as members of the Xiphosura order.
Sumerian man similar to Noah from Noah's Ark?
The famous story about the Great Flood is best known from the Bible (Genesis 6-9). It has always been known that there were similar stories from Greece and Rome (like the ones by Apollodorus, Ovid, and Hyginus), but in the nineteenth century, several texts from ancient Iraq were added. The first discovery was Tablet XI of the Babylonian Epic of Gilgameš (in 1872), the second the Sumerian original, now called the Eridu Genesis (1914), and the third the Epic of Atrahasis (1956). It is now clear that the Biblical account stays close to an earlier Babylonian model.
How long was Noah on the boat?
Noah entered the ark in the 600th year of his life, on the 17th day of the 2nd month (Genesis 7:11-13). Noah left the ark on the 27th day of the 2nd month of the following year (Genesis 8:14-15). Therefore, assuming a lunar calendar of 360 days, Noah was on the ark for approximately 370 days.
Noah was told to go on the ark and in 7 days it would rain. So Noah was on the ark 7 days prior to the flood adding to the 370 making it 377.

What would the view of a liberal Christian be on Noah's ark?
Many "liberal" Christians hold to the account of Noah's ark and the great flood in the book of Genesis as an old Hebrew folk-tale and a myth, rather than it being a historically accurate part of history. It is offen thought that the flood account is possibly an exaggerated story that was altered and was added to over time from the events of a real, relatively local, catastrophic flood. So rather than seeing Noah's Ark as a real event of history it is often then allegorized and treated more as a parable from which lessons on morality, faith and courage, along with other qualities that relate to living a Christian life can be drawn out.
Noah's Ark and the flood described in Genesis are approached very differently by even those who are labelled as "liberal" Christians. The view above is just one of those views.
How did people feel about Noah's directions from GOD?
Nothing specific is mentioned as to how people reacted to Noah, but the scriptures give us a clue:
2 Peter 2:5(KJV) calls Noah a 'preacher of righteousness', so we know he 'preached' to his neighbors about the coming flood. Even so, they did not listen to him, and just continued to live their lives normally. Matthew 24:37-39 tells us that: "...in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away."
Genesis 6:9(NIV) calls Noah a '...a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God." (Genesis 7:1)
Hebrews 11:7(NIV) tells us that "By faith Noah...condemned the world."
So most of the people undoubtedly felt about Noah the way Lot's sons-in-law felt about him when he warned them about the destruction of Sodom (Genesis 19:14), and the way people do today when warned about God's judgement, and looked at him as a fool.(1 Corinthians 2:14, 1 Corinthians 1:18-25)
How long did the flood in noahs ark go for?
Well, it rained for 40 days and 40 nights, which isn't long when you consider it had to cover all mountains which includes Mount Everest which is 5 miles high. So, once everyone and everything was dead the flood went down, which took approximately 1 year. After that there was a lot of mud and nothing much else. So it took a while to grow stuff to eat and for the animals to eat, so figure another year. So, that's two years and 40 days and nights.
It is important in asking questions about the natural world not to confuse science and faith. The biblical story of Noah is a story of faith, but also a story of events that never really happened. We are not really all descendants of Noah.
The various different races are, in part, an adaptation to different environmental challenges, and occurred over a period far longer than the mere three thousand years since the biblical story of Noah. For example, black skin gave protection against the harsh sun of Africa, but left humans with a vitamin D deficiency in the cold of Europe, especially when almost entirely covered against the cold. Caucasians evolved pale skin that made the best use of the weak sunlight to produce vitamin D, and long nasal passages that warmed the cold air before it reached the chest. Ideally, this would result in fair-skinned blonds in northern Europe and slightly darker people in southern Europe, but the migrations of history and inter-marriages have resulted in a fascinating mix of races.
Answer:
God created the designs of all the genetic codes and makeup of all the future races and colors of mankind within Adam in the beginning. It was through the process of procreation that these colors and racial traits began to emerge in their children. By the time of Noah's generation... his three sons [combined with the women with whom they would produce and rear their children] had begun to display the three main races of mankind: Ham, Negro; Shem, Caucasian; and Japheth, Oriental. And it was these three representative races, that sprang from Adam, from which further variations of race, color and nationalities emerged in the world with the passing of time and the generations of men.
In His prayer to His Father in John 17... Jesus tells Him: "...THY WORD IS TRUTH." (John 17:17)
Therefore... the Genesis account of the beginnings and creation of mankind [which is part of God's Word]... while possibly stylized in its literary form; along with other books of the Bible -- is TRUE.
The Bible is indeed a book of "Faith"... to be "believed" or "not believed" as every man chooses. But, then... that's true of everything else in our lives. Men have always been selective in what they have chosen to believe. And belief [in the Bible, in science, your fellow man, or anything else] will always be a matter of placing your "Faith" somewhere... in something... or someone.
Science can be just as unfathomable and just as much of a mystery to man as the biblical account at times. Nor are the two necessarily at odds with each other... depending upon how one approaches them [in faith or doubt].
The Bible [the Truth of God] reveals that the world was repopulated by the descendants of Noah. He was a very REAL man who lived in his very REAL particularly violent and godless generation. The account of which Jesus Christ Himself verifies for us as destined to repeat itself at the time of the end of God's plan:
"But as the days of Noe were, so shall the coming of the Son of Man be... until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall the coming of the Son of Man be." (Matt.24:37-39)
The Bible [the Truth] tells us that Jesus Christ was the Almighty Creator God of the Old Testament [see John 1:3] who MADE ADAM [with all the genetic variations, internal organ designs, the amazing pressurized circulatory system, etc., that went into him]... and who commanded Noah to build the ark. So, His statement, above, is not "hearsay" testimony... but a "First-Person" account of the way it Truly was, and prophecy as to how it shall be.
God designed and created the mystery [to man's finite mind] of DNA... and all the other fascinating "designs" throughout creation [you can't have "design" without a "Designer"]. All the variations of the races and colors of mankind were present in Adam at creation... and had begun to be displayed as evidence in the world through the emergence of the three distinct races of Noah's sons.
God's Word is Truth. Believe the Truth... or don't.
The Bible does not name her.
(Genesis 7:7+13NIS) ". . .And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons' wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood...On that very day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, together with his wife and the wives of his three sons, entered the ark..."
(Genesis 8:16+18NASB) . . ."Go out of the ark, you and your wife and your sons and your sons' wives with you...So Noah went out, and his sons and his wife and his sons' wives with him."
God guided them and protect them because he is a believer.....
