What type of bird did God provide for the Israelites in the wilderness?
The Israelites were mad at God and Moses because they didn't want to eat manna anymore (because they were complaining people) so God gave them quail.
Jewish answer:
Quail.
The Israelites weren't "mad" at God. The first to speak up were the newly-arrived converts (Numbers ch.11), not the Israelites. Rather than "madness" at God, they wanted God to demonstrate His presence (Exodus 17:7) by providing for them, just as God wanted them to demonstrate their obedience when He tested them by giving them an unfamiliar food (Deuteronomy 8:2-5; see Exodus ch.16).

What sister of David has the same name as one of David's wives?
In the book of Samuel, Abigail was the wife of Nabal the Carmelite. The book says that David married her after Nabal's death. The Book of Chronicles, which is known to have been a modified, later rewrite of the Deuteronomic History (Joshua, Judges, 1 Samuel, 2 Samuel, 1 Kings and 2 Kings) agrees with Samuel, but also makes it seem that David was married to his full sister.
1 Chronicles 2:13-16 says that David's sister was Abigail, then Chronicles 3:1 commences a genealogy, with Abigail his second wife. These are the only two Abigails in the entire Bible, so it is implausible that David simply married the only known woman in all Hebrew history to have the same name as his own sister. It is surely more likely that the Chronicler used a convenient name as that of the sister, but overlooked the consequences that would become apparent when a more systematic analysis of the Bible became possible. No one called Abigail was really a sister of David.
Yes Enoch had sonsand daughters, we can see it in Genesis chapter 5 verse 22.
Why is it that before creation there was chaos?
Many very ancient religions held that creation came about because of, or involved, conflict between the forces of good and chaos. It appears that for the ancients, overcoming the forces of chaos was a more plausible way of explaining the origins of the world. The calm, considered decisions to create a world, as in the two creation stories at the beginning of Genesis, seem to reflect a later, more sophisticated development in theology.
The forces of chaos were sometimes seen as destructive gods, but in other cases as chaos monsters that had to be defeated by the gods, who were generally benevolent. In either case, the creation of the world is the result of the primordal chaos. An example of a chaos god is the Babylonian goddess, Tiamat, who is clearly conceived as a monstrous threat to both cosmic and socio-political order, and the survival of the world as well as the survival of the state depend on the creator god Marduk defeating her and keeping her from returning.
In a Hindu creation story, from the Sanskrit hymns in the Rig Veda, the creator god Indra must slay the chaos demon Vrtra in order to release its primordial chaos waters as a life source, thereby creating and establishing a livable cosmos, the order of which is integrally related to Vedic understanding of social order.
Even the early Israelites appear to have believed that the world was created out of chaos. The Bible contains ancient references to the forces of chaos associated with the world's creation. Timothy K. Beal (Religion and its Monsters) has identified a quite a few fragments of more ancient chaos stories in the biblical Book of Job. For example, in Job 38:8, God asks, "Who shut Yam behind doors when it burst forth from the womb ..." (KJV translates as: "shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth, as if it had issued out of the womb?" The italics on 'as if' mean that this is not a literal translation. ).
Yam (or Yamm) was the Canaanite sea god, a destructive chaos force, and the reference in Job can be identified in early Canaanite creation stories. Behemoth and Leviathan, also mentioned in Job and in the Psalms, are also generally considered to have been chaos monsters in very early Hebrew belief.

What was the prophet Hosea occupation?
Answer 1
Hosea's occupation was a call to the ministry for the purpose of turning the people back to God from their evil ways. He ministry was that of a prophet to the nation of Israel.
There was a problem of how to get the people to listen and the unique way God chose to demonstrate His love for them was to let Hosea, the Prophet, be "his own sermon" by marrying an immoral woman, to love her and have children with her and when she "strayed" to bring her back home.
His wife's name was Gomer, and Hosea, by showing his own love for her, demonstrated the kind of love God had for His people, Israel.
Answer 2
Hosea's occupation is never actually discussed in the verses and it would not be viable to live in Ancient Israel as a prophet without a trade for a livelihood. There is a difference between prophets and clergy in that the latter have consistent congregations, salaries, accept donations, etc. Preaching the word alone would not provide enough to eat.

How tall was the Biblical Adam?
In first Samuel, King Saul is desribed as being head and shoulders above all the people of Israel and that there was no one like him in the kingdom. (1st Samuel 10:23-24) People were in general shorter in ancient times than we are today as evidenced by relics of armor found from various periods. The Giant Goliath was listed as nearly 10 feet tall, and King Saul was afraid of his stature, so clearer Saul was no where near this height. If we assume a "tall" Israelite would be 6'0" in height, then Saul would most likely have stood somewhere around 7'0" per the description of "head and shoulders above all the people." Goliath would still appear fearful to him with this obviously sizeable height disadvantage. King David would have been of kingly stature as the annointed one of God, but the only reference we have of this the description of Saul's height. Before David went to fight Goliath, Saul offered him his very own armor. David denied taken it as he said "he was not used to them."(1st Samuel 17:39) It would be silly for Saul to offer Samuel his armor if they were of vastly differing sizes, obviously he would be dwarfed. Note David said he was not used to them, not that they were too big. Based on this information as the only reference we have that sheds light on King David's height, I think we can assume he was between 6"10 and 7'1" tall. One may raise the point, "if there was no one like him and he was head and shoulders above all the others, how could david then be as tall as Saul?" When looking at this, we must remember that Saul was 30 when annointed king and reigned for 42 years. David was a young man when they me and was most likely not born or only a small child when Saul was crowned king.

Does the bible say that the earth stopped rotating?
I don't believe this is said directly. It is implied from the narrative that describes the sun changing direction and then changing back again. The assumption is easily made that since earth's rotation results in what we experience as the apparent motion of the sun, then the narrative can only mean that earth's rotation was changed. but that is a modern assumption, and it is not what the text says. The writers of that account probably had no clue at all that it is the rotation of our sphere-like earth that causes the apparent motion of the sun across the sky.
