the 5 boys auditioned seperatly in the XFactor in 2010 but didnt get through, but then one of the judges decided that the boys' talent was to good to go to waste so he put then in a band together. They came 3rd in the competition but that was not the end, Simon Cowell (The judge who put them together) signed them to a record label deal. They recorded an album 'Up All Night' and did a massive tour around the UK and USA. They are now amazing artists and are travelling the world for tours and fans.

It has got to be The Wanted. I'm speaking as part of TWFanmily and as a directioner. TW treat their fans with so much respect it's unreal, a member bought a load of girls hot chocolate because they waited out in the rain all day. One direction, I thought at first it was their management and that they're great guys but man, they are just plain rude. They ignored 12 fans who had been waiting for them all night. Directioners shouldn't put in the effort for One Direction, they don't do the same for fans. But honestly if you want to become a fangirl do it for TW because you'll always be welcome there.
