Why did Osama Bin Laden declare a holy war?

Osama Bin Laden declared a holy war, or jihad, because he believed it was a religious duty to defend and protect Muslim lands that he perceived as under attack or occupation by non-Muslim forces, specifically the United States and its allies. He was seeking to mobilize Muslims worldwide to join his cause and fight against what he viewed as oppression and injustice.

Is Osama bin Laden a good person?

He is a good person when he worked for the USA fighting Russia in Afghanistan during the Carter Administration back in 1979. The USA gave him training and weapons. Then during the Gulf War. he went bad because the Saudis wouldn't hire him to fight Saddam and he started killing Americans. The Saudis chose the protection of the US military rather than Osama and this made him very angry at the USA and Saudi Arabia. Next he masterminded the WTC attack on 9-11-01. This is why Obama "whacked " him and threw his body into the ocean.

Why did Osama bin Laden declare war against the US?

Osama bin Laden declared holy war (Jihad) upon the US for what he described as "defamation", "desecration" and "destruction" upon his middle-eastern neighbors.

Osama himself was originally a businessman hailing from Saudi Arabia, and when the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan to secure oilfields, it was the western powers actually SUPPLYING the insurgency (mujahideen), because they were so desperate to stamp out Communism.

If you are American you would probably at this point be shouting a lot of patriotic drivel at me, (or rather typing it in capital letters), but if you understand Islam, you would know that invading a holy country, in a radical Muslim's eyes, is about as close you can get to slapping the prophet Muhammad (blessed be his name), across the face.

So no, it wasn't because he was a "crazed Islamic radical who was very wealthy", it was because he was a paranoid, overly-zealous extremist who had a view that Islam is the only religion that should be in the world. Everyone who was not Islamic was an infidel and therefore must be converted or suffer the wrath of Allah.

Answer 1

No. Osama bin Laden is clearly a villain and a terrorist. He is a person who used violent acts such as World Trade Center Attacks in 1993 and 2001against civilian populations - in those cases, the civilian population of the USA, in order to provoke fear so that Americans would rethink their position on Middle East politics and change the US Foreign policy to be more along the lines of what bin Laden was advocating. To intentionally attack civilians is a vile action.

Why is Osama Bin Laden referred to as a bad person?

Because he was a leader of a terrist group who killed many people with the bombing of the world trade center, many plane bombings, destruction of the twin towers in the US and a failed attempt on a plane crash on the whitehouse, they also drove a plain into the pentigon in the US and he also started a mass war in IRAQ and IRAN and AFGANISTAN

Answer

His actions were bad in that he created a lifestyle where he directed terrorist events from a point of safety, involving thousands of people worldwide. His wealth and intellect apparently were focused on that for many years--even expecting his children to participate in the bombings. With his passing, his legacy of harming people will continue for many years as followers try to emulate his teachings. Finally, he is considered bad, or evil, for bringing hateful actions to so many people using Islamic beliefs out of context of the Quran.

Is Osama bin Laden a Muslim?

real Muslims do not let innocent people die .

so HE IS NOT a Muslim

******************************

Okay, the above statement is not mine, but the following is:

I don't know if Osama Bin Laden was good or bad. I wish I did, but I'm not sure since there are so many sides to the story. Who to believe??

But one thing I do want to clear up is this:

Muslims are NOT bad people.

You can only be ONE thing.

Either a MUSLIM or a TERRORIST.

There is no such thing as a Muslim terrorist.

Muslims are people who live in peace and follow their holy book.

They do not bother others, and they do not expect to be bothered either.

But, naturally, if you offend their beliefs and religion, then they will rightfully take a stand.

Another thing is that many people class Osama as a bad person, because he killed many people, caused the 9-1-1, etc...

But one thing to consider is this: WHY did he kill so many people? Was it even him? Does anyone have any solid proof? And if he really was supposedly THAT bad, why does he have millions of followers all over the world?

And if he really was Muslim, then there has to be a reason behind everything he's done. But nobody has bothered to find that reason. And if they have, then they've just covered it up.

And about the 9-1-1, the destruction of the twin towers has been caught on camera.

But has anybody ever wondered how? And not just one camera, but MANY.

I, myself, have seen so many different videos of the twin towers being hit from SO MANY DIFFERENT ANGLES!

Some from above, others from below, some from the right, left, front and back!

How?

Do you really think Osama would have sent his own private paparazzi to film the attack?

A point that has been raised to consideration is that the 9-1-1 was America's own conspiracy which they have been trying to cover up. They probably knew about the attack and stood there and filmed it. Because it was Americans themselves that handed all these videos to the media because it's pretty obvious that Osama wouldn't tell his men to film him attacking and then practically go hand the evidence to the world!

How is it that all these people were positioned just perfectly to get a perfect shot at filming the towers go down?

It was obviously planned.

And everybody knows that if it really were Pakistanis, then they wouldn't have filmed it. And if they had, they wouldn't have given the videos to the media.

So again, like I said before, it was someone else. Americans? Maybe.

They were ready. They knew the attack was coming. That's why they were all positioned at the perfect angles, ready with cameras.

Think about it. Don't be bias. Consider all the possibilities. Was Osama really bad? There must have been a reason behind the killings, right?

Is Osama bin Laden innocent?

Innocent of what? There is no question he suggested and helped plan the attacks on the US (many and varied, not just the 9/11 attacks), as he confessed to them and took credit. Now, that being said, he is likely innocent of war crimes committed against Jews, homosexuals, Jehovah's Witnesses, the mentally ill, the criminally convicted, and Gypsies during WWII. He probably had nothing to do with the attack on Pearl Harbor 71 years ago. Stealing land and culture from Native Americans and Australian Aborigines probably wasn't his either. It is likely then that he is innocent of some things.
