What tools did Picasso use on the weeping woman?

The masterpiece "weeping woman" was originally made by Pablo Picasso in the early 1930's (1937),

the weeping woman idea was originated when he saw a woman weeping as she holds her dead son in her arms,

he wasn't painting her to show the Spanish war but infact he drawed it to show a picture of the lady suffering from different views to show her heart felt pain,

the image was created by combining to different objects the first one was oil paintings and the second was canvas (basically paper),

the weeping woman was famously drawn by Picasso in France (Picassos' home country)

This image was really personal is well because Picassos mum wrote to him from Barcelona saying the smoke from the burning cities in this war are making my eyes water,

The main point of this depressing picture was to show the consequences of wars also known as death to many civilians in the war,

the bombings of Guernica soon finished and then Picasso published his art of the weeping woman and the cubist painting is still thought to be in a museum in Liverpool,

the main point of this painting is to show the depression and sadness of the bombing raid.

How do you find out if you have an original Picasso sketch?

You would have to go to an art gallery and talk to one of the managers there and they will be able to tell you if you show it to them. Pablo Picasso did not paint in water colours anyway, he painted in oil. So it may be true that it is a fake but you still might be able to get quite a lot of money for it if you dont want to keep it.

Picasso did paint in watercolours, how to tell if it's original? well if it's for sale in a gallery and the price doesn't have lots of 000's involved, chances are its not an original, but then even if there are lots of 000's it may not be an original

.

If on the otherhand you have found one that is original i certainly would not trust any art gallery managers. Best contact a big auction house like Sotheby's.

Picasso was incredibly prolific, originals will turn up from time to time, check the net for similarities to known work, later watercolours would be easier to authenticate, earlier more likely to turn up but harder to authenticate.

Easiest way tho would be to put it on Ebay as a possible original with a buy it now price of say £80,000 and see if anyone tries to snap it up, if it's original you'll have lost quite a bit of profit, but in the meantime if it is an original many experts will start contacting you to see it in the flesh.... at this point you withdraw the item from sale... and think about hiring a bodyguard.! (:personally i wouldn't put it in a bank vault , call me paranoid but i wouldn't trust them to hand back an original Picasso, as bankers are the worst kind of criminals...:)

If it's definitely not original you'll only get silence.

Hope this helps, and really hope you've found one, can i delete the first response above now pls.... i think he is an art gallery manager!!! dont trust them y'all :)

What artwork was Picasso famous for and why?

Pablo Picasso was so important to the world because of his inivative way of using a brush and to convey his feelings. he was so young when he first started painting that as he got older and his subject matter brodened, Picasso's youthful imitative model included the dotted style of impressionism, and the art of nouveau, which he was probably inspired by the Swiss postermaker T.A. Steinlenand the French postismpressionists Toulouse-Lautrec, but more directly through Isider Nonell a friend of his.

But there is no real way to know why he was so important, maybe the way he conveyed his feeling on canvas made it seem as though they were the same feelings in the eyes of the beholder, that he conveyed feeling that they themselves could not understand.
