Does the target distance affect the paintball splat?
generally no, either the ball breaks or it does not, if it breaks it has enough force to break the shell and therefore enough force to make a nice big mark, every once in a while though you will get a ball that kind of half breaks and those can leave marks that are hard to tell apart from spray
Why does your trigger get stuck on your tippmann 98 custom and how do you make it stop?
There are two things that can cause this:
1. The spring that resets the trigger is worn or is otherwise malfunctioning.
2. There is dirt or paint between the trigger and the inside of the gun, gumming it up.
If you know how, take apart and clean your gun thoroughly. If not, take it to a paintball field or shop and have someone show you how.
What is NXL mode for paintball guns?
NXL mode on paintball markers is the mode used by the National X-ball League.
When in NXL mode the marker fires semi automatic for the first 3 trigger pulls, after that the gun will fire Full-Automatic if the trigger is held. NXL is capped at 15 Balls Per Second.
Your paint ball gun keeps rapid firing what do you do?
It could be a number of things. The most likely reason is the board setting. Boards typically come with at least 3 modes of fire:
Semi
3-shot
Full auto
What is possible is that the gun is on the "full auto" setting, meaning it will keep firing till you release the trigger. To take it off this setting, refer to the owners manual, or check sites like "Pbnation.com" for directions.

However while Regulator and Velocity adjuster do effect accuracy, the effects of valves have been shown many times to be within 2% of each other. Having a consistent Paint to barrel match is the key to accuracy.

Which one is better the g3 or the invert mini?
i would get the invert mini because it is easy to work and it comes with everything you need and it costs the same as the g3 it is not that much money but still a good gun. The invert mini Is also has no macroline and has a smaller frame.
I too have a Win Mod 70 Featherweight that I purchased new in the late 80's (non controlled feed action). The best I have ever been able to get it to consistently shoot is about 1 1/4" and that is with certainly handloads. The skinny, lightweight barrel is really a roadblock to getting MOA accuracy.
However, if you are having trouble reaching at least 1 1/2" after all of the things you have already done, you might want to consider recrowning the barrel.
---------------There could be a dozen causes for your 1-1/2 inch groups but it is probably not the barrel crown. You can look at the crown and tell if it is damaged. If you do not hand load, buy some Federal or Remington or Winchester 100 grain ammo and go sight in and live with what you get. Your gun is not a target rifle. 1-1/2 inches at 100 yards is 3 inches at 200 yards and is perfectly acceptable for a hunting rifle. You can't hold better than that shooting offhand anyway. If you do hand load, try a Barnes 100 grain TTSX bullet over 35.0 grains of IMR 3031 and seat the bullet to 2.830 inches OAL. Your gun probably has a 1 in 10 twist rate and that twist rate will usually not stabilize bullets over 100 grains. Stop worrying about your group size and just go shoot. If you miss, it's not the gun's fault.

depends on what is in the paint, there are many different mixtures that will create a semi-gloss finish
Modern paints are not as toxic as older paints used to be so I would suspect your dog to be ok but would avoid letting him/her eat any in the future
