mostly the mom would feed her babies. but when the babies are old enough to eat its food without it being regurgitated, the dad would break seeds for them and feed it to them.

As far as i know, this happens to all parakeets, not just females. The stripes disappear because your parakeet is getting older. It's kind of like when a fawn looses the whites spots on his back. It's perfectly normal and there is no problem. :)

singing is a way of comunicating for parakeets and a way of showing comfort, the male is probably not used to see a female...give him time, he'll get confortable in 2 weeks latest.

I am sad to say NO, they do not get along with children under the age of 14. One day when a friend of mine had a blue parakeet and her 11 year old was saying hello, the parakeet bit her and tries to peck her eye. Do not get a blue parakeet unless you have a child 14 or older!!!!!

The Trill brand budgie food is recommended on many comparison websites and by many vets. They advise that you treat your bird to some fruit now and again and mix a vitamin supplement in the water. However it is hard to tell if they are the best budgie food but all the information points towards it being a very good choice of budgie food.

Parakeets are parrots. The term "parakeet" is used to describe a medium-sized parrot.

Parakeets are smaller, are cheaper to feed, are easier to maintain and need a smaller cage. Parrots are usually better talkers and live longer and need more attention but need more space. The better bird depends on what characteristics you want.

It relly depends on the bird's personality and how much flying excersise it has had.
