Of course, the questioner might mean the D-Day Invasion beaches, which many Americans refer to as Normandy - which is like calling Chicago Illinois. How many miles is it to drive from the Channel Tunnel to Paris?

You cannot drive the Channel Tunnel. It carries trains only. You can however load your car onto the train and transport it. The trip from the French coast to Paris will take you about 6 hours assuming you go by Autoroute (roughly like a U.S turnpike) but the tolls are quite steep, perhaps ?20 or more. However the speed limit is generally 130 km/hr so you can make very good time. Also be aware that a car you rent in the U.K. will almost certainly be right-hand drive but France uses left-hand drive, like the U.S. and Canada. Also you will probably only be able to rent a manual gearbox unless you pay for a high-end vehicle.
