Sadly some are fanatic, to the point it turns people off. I feel that the reason for this is because once you become baptised in the Holy Spirit, your spirit eyes are open, and you see anouther demention of what God does, and what he can do thru you. You become his vessel, and he gives you the power to work in his behalf. You can pray for the sick and they are healed. The Glory should all go to God and Christ himself. If anyone takes the glory, I would run from them. Not saying God is not using them to heal, but without God... no one can have the gifts of the spirit work thru them. It is being on fire for the Lord. So fanatic, because Pentecostals want everyone to experience what God has for them. You have authority over the devil, you can have all the blessings of God.. You can have so much more. We live in this world, we don't have to be of it. The devil cant harm us or touch us with the authority God has given us. To receive the Holy Spirit, is just like receiving salvation... ASk and Believe. PS, pentecostals are attacked more of Satan, because he wants to stop God. But our faith gets stronger, not weaker.

Joshua died of advanced "years"

23:2 And Joshua called for all Israel, and for their elders, and for their heads, and for their judges, and for their officers, and said unto them, I am old and stricken in age:

In the next chapter after Joshua had spoken and let everyone leave it says:

24:29 And it came to pass after these things, that Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died, being an hundred and ten years old.

The question would be better worded, "What doPentecostals believe about the Godhead?" It is not really a question of belief "in" the Godhead, but an understanding "about" the Godhead. How does one define the "Godhead?" Many people use the word Godhead and Trinity interchangeably, they define these to refer to the "three persons" of God, Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Pentecostal is, of course, a reference to those Christians who believe that the experience of the Church on the day of Pentecost is still alive and available today, i.e. speaking in tongues, healing, miracles, prophecy etc. In the area of Pentecostal Christianity there are differences of belief. There are, and these terms are used for lack of a better word, Trinitarian Pentecostals, and Oneness Pentecostals aka Apostolic Pentecostals. One of the main differences between the two is . . . #1 Is the "Godhead" made up of three separate and distinct persons, Father, Son and Holy Ghost (Trinitarian), or does "Godhead" refer to the One God who has manifested Himself as Father, Son and Holy Ghost (Apostolic/Oneness) So, we find in Pentecostalism a difference of opinion concerning the Godhead. One way to think of it is that all Apostolic Oneness Christians are Pentecostal, but not all Pentecostals are Oneness Apostolic. In the broad classification of Pentecostalism there are many who believe in the Godhead in the same manner as Baptist, Methodist, Roman Catholic etc, that there are three separate and distinct persons that comprise the Godhead. With the above in mind, I will address the question, "Why don't Pentecostals believe in the god head?" from the point of view of a Oneness Apostolic Pentecostal Christian. Before we begin, I want to encourage all who read this to pray and ask god to give you a clear mind. If you do not ask for a clear mind and for God to give you understanding, you will not understand. This is not my idea, but God's. "Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." 1 Corinthians 2:13-14 Oneness Apostolic Pentecostals do notbelieve that the Godhead is composed of three separate "persons". We are strictly monotheistic. We DO believe in the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, but DO NOT believe that they are separate persons. In fact, the Bible never refers to the Father or the Holy Ghost as persons at all. The only thing close is when Paul wrote, Hebrews 1:3. Speaking of Jesus Paul says, "Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:" Jesus is the "express image of the 'person' of God." The Greek definition of the words, "express image" is . . . the exact expression (the image) of any person or thing, marked likeness, precise reproduction in every respect. So in other words, Jesus is an exact representation of God. He is Emmanuel, God with us. That is why Jesus could say to see Him was to see the Father, they are the same. The "person" of God is Jesus, The Spirit of God is the Holy Ghost and as John would write in 1 John 5:3 ". . . these three are one. . ." The word Godhead is mentioned only three (3) times in the Bible, and Trinity is never mentioned at all. (KJV anyway) The three times that "Godhead" is used, it is used as a reference to divinity, not persons. Act 17:29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. (Godhead here simply means God.) Rom 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: (Divine nature, not persons) Col 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. (Here "the state of BEING GOD" which is what we believe Jesus is the mighty God) Read 1 Tim. 3:16. God was manifested in flesh. In him (Jesus) "dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. . ." I hope this is helpful.

We believe that Jesus can heal any sickness. Psalm 103:3 says, "He forgives all my sin and heals all my diseases." Now, He may chose not to heal us until we go home to heaven. Most Pentecostals will agree--when you are sick, pray in faith that you will be healed. But if you're still sick, then take some medicine or go to a doctor. God gave us brains to use and think with. And we have made some miraculous medical discoveries. And God made doctors, so He is okay with them. I fully believe my Jesus has the power to heal anyone. But I also know that He could chose not to heal me so I can be a witness to my doctor. I know countless people who have witnessed to their doctors. It is a balance between prayer and faith, and good old common sense.

There was never a problem with Sheryl Brady and Paula White that I know of. A few years back on TBN they tag team preached together. It was great! Sheryl has been on the scene a whole lot longer than Paula, Sheryl is older and has a totally different style and theology than Paula. Sheryl is more Old School pentecostal as where Paula is more neo pentecostal/charismatic. Two very different women with unique ministries, I don't know why people compare or contrast them. I truly don't believe there has ever been any problem that they could not resolve. As a matter of fact, this week 10/19/09, Sheryl will be preaching at Paula White's church Without Walls Intl. at a conference.
