There are only deacons mentioned in the Bible. The word "deaconess" is not in the Bible. Also, a "deacon" is a man.
However, to answer the question, "deaconess' is a word which has largely gone out of style, but used to be the equivalent of a female chaplain in schools and some church groups. The duties vary greatly, according to the church (or school) using the term, but generally involve relationship counselling and spiritual guidance for others.

If someone is to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, they are supposed to obey Him and not their own ideas. This is what is meant when they say He is Lord, which means Master. It is about a RELATIONSHIP with the Lord not some pet idea. It is also very important to understand that God looks at the heart of man not what he does. In almost every denomination, I have found that no one talks about repenting and keeping a pure heart before God. It is all about how they do things that they think are correct. We are supposed to be taught by God Himself. Hebrews 8;10, Hebrews 10:16.
Baptists tell you the whole book of Acts (a book in the Bible which begins Jesus' ministry after He left the earth) is false especially if they are the baptists who do not want to believe that each believer has a language given to them by God where they can pray when they do not know how to pray. Pentecostals hold to this Truth but their hearts can be full of judgment, man worship, infighting and envy.

The question of being watchful is the exact message of the hour to the Church right now. With the gross spiritual darkness that has covered both the Church and the world, there is need for every bride of Christ to "trim their lamps" Math.25:7, repent and walk in Holiness, (Hebrew 12:14), and go out to meet the Lord, the the cry is already heard. The Lord has seen the defilement of the church. There is so much weed in the church. There is gross spiritual darkness in the Church - the Elly situation is repeating with the priesthood.

"And at midnight there was a cry made" Only a sleeping Church can ordain homosexuality, only a sleeping church can allow women to come to church wearing mini-skirts and tight trausers, only a sleeping church can fail to rebuke sin, even the sexual sin in the church, the love of money, practice of witchcraft, only a sleeping church can afford to only focus on the things of the world, preaching the gospel of prosperity without holiness.
The cry is heard. The sign of the end of the age manifest. The earthquakes, floods, planetary events, the tsunamy, the wars and rumour of wars - is a loud cry for the bride of Christ to prepare.
Read Revelation 6:6-7 - The black horse represents the global famine. The present economic crunch. The world economies has crushed and continuing sinking to unknown depth. What is this speaking to the church. Prepare for the Coming for the Lamb of God in the rapture. The rapture of the church is very very soon. Read on to realise that immediately after the black horse has raced across the globe, it is followed by another horse - the pale horse. This one is coming after the rapture.
So it is extremely important that you prepare your heart by watching and praying in the Holy Spirit. That is the only way you can survive - "and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine".

You must be ordained to be a pastor. You cannot be a pastor and not ordained. You aren't reverend and don't have the authority to do such duties. It is quite easy nowadays to become ordained although, it isn't a problem.

There is basically no difference in the doctrines of the two organizations. Both believe in water baptism in Jesus' name and the infilling of the Holy Ghost, as evidenced by speaking in tongues. Although both used to believe and teach that women should not wear jewelry, pants, or makeup, many churches in the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World have gotten away from that strict discipline, while most of the United Pentecostal Churches are holding on to that teaching.
Theoreticaly no, due to the fact that pentecostal women are expected to be extremely modest and do absolutely nothing to make themselves more attractive to men.
