I would think a double birdie would just be called an Eagle. Double Birdie is probably just golf slang for an Eagle, the much more common term. There is a Double Eagle though which is probably even more rare than a hole in one. That would be a score of a 2 on a par 5.

But the earliest I can find Sam Snead's name as part of the Wilson Blue Ridge is 1964-1965. Magazine ads of that era spoke of the "Sam Snead Wilson Blue Ridge"-- a set which contained 2 woods and 5 irons. It does not seem that the name got changed to "Wilson Sam Snead Blue Ridge" till the early 1970s, but it was not official-- many newspaper ads still placed Snead's name at the beginning, rather than in the middle.

Highly touted PGA player who fell off map?
David Duval, former number 1 in the world fell off the map. His recent 2nd place finish at the US Open may have put him back. David has attempted to regain his old form and until the Open it appeared for nought. David is still an accomplished golfer but a combination or injuries and personal problems had him reset his priorities in life. This may be the the "jump start" he needed to regain his confidence in his ability on the course.
