I have recently found a great charity called helping Gambia. There are no admin costs and 100 percent of your money goes to Gambia. You can sponser a child for just 2 pounds a month and you can even go out to gambia to visit your sopnsered child. You could make a one of donation, or contrubute regularly. "HELPING" is the best ever Charity, no raised funds taken for Admin, or anything, I know where my money goes to feed the children, I have seen it. I have personally given out gifts etc. which have been shipped over.Everything given to "HELPING" is given to the children or in Building Schools/Nurseries and other Projects.

A simple way to help the poor, needy or starving is to donate food. When you give money you never know what there going to spend it on. Usually during Christmas time local large supermarkets are holding can food drives. And the cans are pretty cheap to and you are feeding hungry families instead of just buying gifts for them. Also, taking a visit to homeless shelters and donating food or money also helps out a lot. If your feeling generous you can also go to a children's cancer research hospital or one of those things and donate a few dollars.

Charities raise money and give it to the poor they could spend it on food to give them or it could go towards a home. If the charities help countries it could help make a better educational system, get better health services, give them clean water, help them build homes or go towards other local charities that feed the children and help them with nutrition ect.. but if they give the money to the Government they may spend it on themselves.

If we as a society want a better future then we should invest in the future "the children", it's easier to mend a child then to fix an adult.
