It is the same because as every other layer - text layer can contains transparent areas and can be applied layer style to it including different level of transparency from 0-100%, any of available blend modes, layer mask can be applied or clipping mask to clip content inside letter forms like for example image. Text layer can be moved, grouped, locked or converted to Smart Object as any other layer. Different from regular layer is because contains vector data so you can change size, color and even color of individual characters without any penalty, also font and font style can be changed (shape or design of letters). Other interesting things to do with text layer is to convert characters to shapes and to work with each individual character as separate shape (to change its shape, rotate it, enlarge, move, skew, distort and so on).

Adobe does not supports portable version, so you must ask reseller how to install plug ins.

Best way is using Levels adjustments from ADJUSTMENTS panel (Window > Adjustments Ps CS4/5).

Depend on when is pressed it can hide all panels and tools or to move to the next text field in any dialog, panel or Options bar (when options bar is in focus). Tab can also switch from Full Screen Mode to Full Screen Mode With Menu Bar. Shift + Tab hides palette with panels on the right side of screen.

Exactly what it says it does : blur. It blurs the image layer that you have selected. This can be helpful if you are trying to combine multiple layers and you want them to blend better, if you want to simulate depth of field in a photograph (selectively blurring),if you want to censor parts of an image or remove an annoying photo-bomber, or if your image (or parts of it) is just to sharp for your taste.

Also wallets vary slightly (depending on where they were made and the brand) so if I were you I would do a low quality practice print to make sure it fits nicely then you will have the exact size for you're husband's particular wallet :)

All tools like Move tool, Brush tool, Type tool live in Toolbox or tool panel as you say. It is one of most important panels in Photoshop, you can not access tools in Photoshop from any other panel in Photoshop.

Some mail services only support files up to a certain file size. Check with whoever is providing your email service. Even if your service supports larger files, the service of the person you are sending it to may not, and vice versa.

This is my way:

Save the graphic as an image, open the newly saved image, draw a rounded rectangle (vector). Making sure you're on the layer with the rounded rectangle. Press ctr+a, use the select tool. Hold the rectangle and move it slightly.

At this point you can make the rectangle invisable.

Go onto the layer with the image on it, press ctr+i and then Delete.

Tah dah, rounded edges.

The Photoshop CS3 has many features on the screen including the toolbox and pallets. The toolbox includes the selection, magic wand, blur, paint bucket, and color swatches. The pallets include history, layers, and paragraphs.

Marquee tool does use to make selections, and it makes rectangular selections. Choose marquee tool from the toolbar, (Or press M) and pull to draw rectangle and it will appear selection with marching ants surrounded. With this selection you can cut this portion, or make new layer from selection or even fill it with color or add stroke around selection etc.

Some formats like ai, eps,pdf you can open in Photoshop using open command from File menu, Photoshop will automatically convert vector objects to pixels. Another way is to place vector based image from File > Place. Place command will always create Smart Object which is layer with some extra options. To convert Smart Object layer to regular just right click on Smart Object layer in LAYERS palette and choose Rasterize Layer or go to Layer > Rasterize > Smart Object.

The correct word is "Photoshop." open a blank document then grab a brush palette.Pick a pattern anything but round in shape from brushes palette.In the brush palette select brush tip shape.Check out for options and flip x, flip y or any angle.

An active layer is anything that is being used at the time. Usually it has an "eye" peeking out from a box. If you want the layer to be inactive then you just click on the eye and it will turn the layer off. Active layers are there to show what layers are currently being used. It helps me when I'm drawing because if I make a mistake and there are multiple layers active then I can turn them off and see just what layer I made the mistake on.

Yes you can. Go to Filter > Distort > Liquify.

Step 1: Select the history brush tool.

Step 2: In the Mode drop down box (at the top) select Linear Burn.

Step 3: In the Opacity drop down box (to the right of the Mode drop down) set the opacity to 25%.

Step 4: Select your brush size from the Brush drop down menu. Use a size that will keep you from having to much

overflow (but not so small that you'll get hand cramps ). Set the hardness to zero.

Step 5: Paint over her shirt with this brush 2 times. Make sure you use one continuous stroke each time.

Now we are going to get the color closer to the actual skin tone.

Step 1: Select the eyedropper tool (make sure it says 3 by 3 average in the drop down menu at the top).

Step 2: Take the eyedropper and click on an area of the skin in the chest that isn't too dark, or too bright.

Step 3: Select the brush tool.

Step 4: In the Mode drop down menu select Hue.

Step 5: Set the opacity to 25%.

Step 6: Set the brush size to taste and hardness to zero.

Step 7: Paint over the same area as before. This is where you need to use your best judgment. I went over it 3 times.

Now some of you may be satisfied with these results. For those of you who aren't, keep up!!!

Now I'm going to tweak her right (your left) nipple a little bit . This is one of those things you have to be creative with. It will end looking more natural and better defined.

Step 1: Select the burn tool.

Step 2: Set the Range to Highlights, the Exposure to 3%, and choose a brush size (hardness zero).

Step 3: I used this to darken the left side and a little bit of the right side of her nipple. Be careful here as you can go over board real quick. This is a tool that needs to be used subtly.

Step 4: This step depends on your tastes. I used the Dodge tool to make this nipple more closely resemble the other one. All I did was lighten the inner portion of her areola a little bit. When using the dodge tool in this way make sure the Range is set to Shadows, and all the other settings match the above Burn settings.

You Almost there. Just a few finishing touches. We are now going to define the shape of her right (your left) breast a little bit. Again this takes some creativity as you can mangle the shape if not careful. One quick note: When using Dodge if you have it set to Highlights (or Burn set Shadows) it will saturate the colors a little bit. Luckily in this lesson I teach you how to fix this. One other thing...Dodge/Burn work differently than the normal brush. When using these , it's like holding down the sprayer on a can of spray paint. As opposed to one smooth continuous stroke with the brush tool. So the longer you hold it down the darker or lighter (burn or dodge) it will get.

Step 1: Select the Burn tool.

Step 2: Set the Range to Shadows (same Exposure and brush settings as before).

Step 3: Here's the creative part. You have to visualize where the inside curve of her breast would be if the shirt was not there. In this case it's not all that hard. Use the Burn tool in long stroke to reveal the curve. Essentially what you are doing is darkening the shadow that are there. If you found the right spot you'll know it.

Step 4: Last thing we need to do for this part is to lessen the saturation of the are we just burned. If you look at any image you will notice that the Highlights (brighter areas) and Shadows (darker spots) have less color in them. To accomplish this we are going to use the Sponge tool. It's located in the same place as the Dodge and Burn tools. Make sure the Mode is set to Desaturate and Flow between 3% and 5%. Brush size shouls be roughly the same or smaller than what you use with the Burn tool. As usual; Hardness=Zero.

Step 5: Following the curve you just made; paint away the color a little bit at a time until it looks more natural.

You should now have something like this (it's a very subtle thing but adds to the effectStill awake? Remember it's the little details that can make a huge difference. Only this step and then clean up and we are done. This image actually only took me 5 minutes to do (and that's because I had tosave each step as a different file). All we are doing in this step is touching up the color a little bit.

Step 1: Select the Brush tool. It should still be set to Hue, so all we need to do is make sure we a have a good skin tone selected. If you like the one you already had just keep it. I used the Eyedropper and selected a tone that had a little more pink in it (on the arm). Paint over the work area until you are satisfied.

Step 2: Using the Eyedropper tool, take a sample of a light and not overly saturated area of her lips. For those of you who don't know this, usually a womans nipples and lips are similar colors. However if they are wearing lipstick, you might need to make up your own color to use. Don;t go too pink as it tends to look really unnatural. When in doubt, choose a skin tone and move the color slide a little closer to red. Now go over the nipples with this color until you are satisfied with the results.

This is my last step on every image. Select the History Brush tool. Set the Mode to Normal and the Opacity to 100%.

Make sure your brush is still set to zero hardness and that it is not overly large. All we are doing here is cleaning up where we may have gone outside the area we wanted to work on. Just paint away your mistakes and you are done. The final image and the original are down below. Now that we've gone through all that...I want to see what you guys come up with (with this or any other pic of your choice). Hope this helped some of you...and didn't confuse too many of you. I'm looking forward to seeing some of your work.

Let me know if this was any help guys. I may do more later...just to highlight some of the other tools I use. The main thing I wanted to accomplish is to get you to play with these and see what you figure out. The History Brush is one of the most overlooked and underestimated tools in Photoshop. Using blending modes with the History Brush and the Paint tool makes things easier and much more natural looking. You can also use the blur tool at the end to smooth out any texture caused by clothing. Just don't use it at 100% strength and try out the different modes to find what looks more natural.

select the object layer you want to transform

Depends on what software you use. You can use Microsoft word and just insert pictures and format them with the picture format button to infront of text and crop.
