The Final Cut. This was post-Wall and tensions in the band were at an all-time high...tensions and arguments that went back to Animals and when the band had their In The Flesh tour in the late 70s. The royalties were split a little differently amongst the band members (can't remember the exact way, but its been mentioned in a lot of journal publications), and this played a factor in what drove the arguing and bitter resentment.
Rick Wright was not in the band during the time Final Cut was released in 1983, and he is not listed as being in the band on the credits (PF issued this as a trio).
Many say that this is more like a Roger Waters solo record, largely about him struggling to adapt to the changing social themes in the UK and also about the loss of his father in WWII.
Its not a bad one, but listening to Meddle, Dark Side, Wish You Were Here, Animals, or The Wall, definitely beats this one any given day of the week.
A founder member of the group Sid Barrett came made up the name 'The Pink Floyd Sound' after two blues musicians called Pink Anderson and Floyd Council, this was later shortened to 'The Pink Floyd' then to 'Pink Floyd'
Alan Parsons. The first of Pink Floyds 2 Grammy awards was awarded to Alan Parsons in 1973 for best engineering.
Any Audio Converter can help you You can use a free program, Any Audio Converter(www dot any-audio-converter dot com) to extract audio from DVD and convert to mp3 format, then you can add this mp3 to music player supporting CD burning to burn audio CD easily.
Here is an example from personal experience: I wanted a recording of the part of the movie "Groundhog Day" at the first time the clock radio switches on at 6 AM and "I Got You Babe" plays followed by the DJs talking about Groundhog Day. It took me a little while to figure out the best way to do it, but I ended up converting the entire movie to mp3 with a downloaded shareware conversion app, then I imported it into Audacity, a high-quality audio manipulator that's totally free, spliced it down to the minute I wanted, then exported it back to mp3. Thanks to Windows' Task Scheduler, my computer now automatically plays that minute of radio airplay every Groundhog Day at 6 AM!
Start with sustained sawtooth, tweak as desired and add a little delay and reverb.
The current leader of Pink Floyd is David Gilmour. He gained leadership of the band in 1986 after Roger Waters departed the band in pursuit of solo projects. Roger Waters achieved informal frontman status after the mental breakdown and departure of his friend Syd Barrett in 1968. Roger Waters is credited with writing the majority of Pink Floyds most successful lyrical material, namely The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here and The Wall.
Well i guess it depends on what you are more into, classic rock or brutal bone crunching gitaure riffs. if you like awesome metal brutality (wich i like) go with g n r. if you like classic 70s rock (wich i find somewhat appealing) go with acdc
The name 'Pink Floyd' was thought up of on the spot by founding member and original frontman Syd Barrett. They had been calling themselves 'The Tea Set' in their early gigs, but as it happened another band with the same name went on stage before the Floyd using the same name. Pink Anderson and Floyd Council were two unrelated African-American Blues musicians from the Depression Era.

Actually he does have children. Harry Waters, his son, is currently touring The Wall Live 2010 with him. His daughter, India Waters is a model I believe.

Comfortably Numb. Its about 80 years old. C'mon, Now your not even trying. Comfortably Numb was released in 1980, 15 years after the band was formed. The song "Interstellar Overdrive" was performed in the film "Tonite Lets all Make Love in London" in January of 1967, but was not released as a single at that time. The first single released by Pink Floyd was "Arnold Layne" in March of 1967

Overhead the albatross hangs motionless upon the air
And deep beneath the rolling waves
In labyrinths of coral caves
The echo of a distant tide
Comes willowing across the sand
And everything is green and submarine.
And no-one called us to the land
And no-one knows the wheres or whys
But something stirs and something tries
And starts to climb towards the light
Strangers passing in the street
By chance two separate glances meet
And I am you and what I see is me
And do I take you by the hand
And lead you through the land
And help me understand the best I can
And no-one calls us to move on
And no-one forces down our eyes
And no-one speaks and no-one tries
And no-one flies around the sun
Cloudless everyday you fall upon my waking eyes
inviting and inciting me to rise
And through the window in the wall
Come streaming in on sunlight wings
A million bright ambassadors of morning
And no-one sings me lullabies
And no-one makes me close my eyes
And so I throw the windows wide
And call to you across the sky
Just another brick in The Wall...

The full line up from their heyday will never reform, due to Richard Wright's death in 2008. The remainder of the lineup may get together, but there has been no announcement that would properly indicate this. The best that has ever been said is that David Gilmour and Roger Waters are beginning to get along again, due to Nick Mason's intervention.
Pink Floyd has produced 14 albums:
There are also four live albums:
I think it was at the 1990 the wall concert where Roger Waters played with a number of artists. The crowd was about 300,00 people, it was held in an area where the famous Berlin wall once stood. It is one of the biggest concerts of rock history till date.
According to Wikipedia, this song (Keep Talking) features vocals by Stephen Hawking sampled from a BT television advertisement and live versions were featured in both the Pulse video and album; these are taken from different shows in each format. The song also makes some use of the talk box guitar effect.
He's not had a real religion until the end of the '70s, despite his father was Christian and initially refused to enlist in World War II because of its values.
Then he came up to communism and left as a soldier, as he died.
Now Roger's a christian, but he's often criticized the sanctimonious way to think.
He declared in 1993:
"I'm not a huge practicing Christian myself, but it just staggers me that people who claim to be can stand up and spout - like your president George Bush - can stand up and spout this bull***t about God supporting one side over another in war, which is why I wrote the lyrics of the song "What God Wants": "God wants crusade/God wants Jihad." Well it may well be that God doesn't want either of those things. They're manifestations of the insecurities of the Muslim and Christian communities. I hate when someone uses religion to bolster war in the world: it's extremely disgusting and offensive for me, and for all christians, because that was not what Christ was trying to teach."
