Is it good to eat raw uncooked Garbanzo beans soaked in water?
Either I am full of toxins or there is no problem in eating raw garbanzo beans. I rinse them really well and soak them in spring water for 24 hours. Not knowing that the water was to be thrown out and fresh used, I put the beans, water and all, in the blender, add lemon juice, raw sesame seeds, salt, olive oil, fresh, raw garlic, fresh, raw horseradish root, and sundried tomatoes and blend the heck out of it. So far I have suffered no ill effects. Quite yummy. If anyone can tell me what ill effects I should be suffering, I'd be glad to self evaluate but I've been doing this for a couple years and feel just fine.
What does it mean when pinto beans float?
That they are not cooked enough. They float (in water) because there is still air trapped inside of them, so you need to cook them more.
How do you say Pinto Beans in Tagalog?
Pinto beans are called "pulang beans" in Tagalog. However, they are also commonly referred to simply as "pinto." In some contexts, people may just use the term "beans" (sabaw) to refer to various types of beans, including pinto beans.

Since black beans are in the same legume family as pinto and kidney beans, it makes sense that someone allergic to pintos and kidneys could also be allergic to black ....and other beans. However, when I had my fancy $900.00 blood test for food allergies done (immunolab, Florida), my results showed only kidney bean and pinto bean allergies, but none to black beans, chick peas, or soy.
