Around 300-400 depending on the condition of the watch and exact model. They're not particularly rare at this time, but that's a plus if you want to have one for daily use (since replacement parts are cheaper)

It is rumoured that The Civic Watch Company was a sub-brand of the Omega Watch Company in the early part of the last century, and used on its export watches. (I have seen this in print several times, though have not substantiated it myself. I do, however, have two mens wristwatches in my collection that show obvious similarities: one a 1917 Omega, and the other a Civic of simlar vintage, and so it wold not surprise me if this story were correct.) A question: Are you very sure of your pocket watch's age? If I were very determined to find out more about this watch, I would start at Omega.

That depends on several factors. 14k gold means that the gold content is .583% pure gold with other alloys added to make the metal harder, usually copper. However, only a portion of the weight of a pocket watch is the case. The movement, metal reinforcements, hands, crystal, winding stem, hinges, etc. are almost always other metals. And every watch is different when it comes to how dense or heavy the case is. Some general percentage weights for antique pocket watch cases are as follows;

* 14k gold Hunter cases are between 38% to 50% with 40% being average

* 14k Open faced cases are between 30% to 45% with 35% being average

* Silver Hunter cases average around 70% of the total watch weight

* Silver Open Faced cases average around 65% of the total watch weight

So a 14k gold hunters watch (not gold filled or rolled) that weighs 100 grams would have approximately 40 grams of 14k gold, or 23.3 grams (.583 X 40) of pure gold.

Hello - What do you mean by "with duracy made in US"? I have a watch with an Empress case and the movement is Lonville, a Swiss maker. I am guessing that the watch was made and sold sometime between 1900 and 1915. I recently bought a similar one for about $55. They are not really worth much unless they are in mint or excellent condition -- the most you could get would be $300 or so, I believe. Anyway, I would be interested in buying yours for parts.
