Yes, you can. I took a pregnancy test 4 days before my expected period, (in the middle of the day) its positive, took another test one hour later, its positive again. And I took another one the next day, it turns out positive as well(Its kind of fun to take the test once its positive )

Hey there. I missed my period for a whole month and was 2 weeks late after that. I took the EPT test and 1 out of 2 came back positive. I went for a blood test today. From what I know the tests are accurate. The only way you will get a false reading is if you wait to long to read the test or if an evaporation line shows up. (an evaporation line is a faint colorless line that shows up if the test has been sitting to long. It some times can be read as a positive. so the only 100% sure way to know is wait a while then get a blood test.

Yes you can perform a pregnancy test during your period but as you are on your period, you are not pregnant.

Ideally you should wait until your period is late, that would make the test the most accurate. Most tests say even the day your period is due is fine. Some tests on the market say you can test up to 4 days before your period is due, it will catch some pregnancies, however you are most likely to get a false negative by testing early.

Either you are pregnant & you got a false neg. or you can be having ovulation pains they are almost exactly the same as pregnancy symptoms.

A home or urine test at a clinic takes 5 minutes or less. A blood test takes a few hours to come back.

No kind of food can affect HPT's, but if you are testing early & drink a lot of water before the test, it could come out a false neg. The water dilutes your urine.
