No. All the pregnancy tests require approximately the same amount of time including the ones at the doctor office. You will be throwing away money on negative tests if you are pregnant or not if you test earlier then the first day of your missed period. Waiting a couple days into your missed period is not a bad idea as your cycle length can fluctuate slightly due your luteal phase (time between fertility and period-beginning on next cycle)

It could be just stress delaying your period, but if all tests are negative than that's a good indication that it's not pregnancy. Call your doctor, they may be able to give you a prescription to get your period going if you are truly not pregnant. ~pawsalmighty

yes there is a such thing mine came on the first of July and went off 4 days later. and it also came back on, on the last of July. that doesn't mean youre preg. it just mean you period came early..

I took a home pregnancy test because I 'just knew' I was pregnant! I felt exhausted all week and was SUPER sensitive to the smell of most foods, white out, gasoline (which I normally love, sick as that sounds),....I even could smell things in the room other people could not! This was all at about 3 weeks (as it turned out - I took the hpt at the start at week #4 and it was positive). I also kept putting my hands on my belly for comfort. I was all nurturing to that general area, but that may be because I detected these symptoms without out & out putting it together with "I think I'm pregnant", you know? Hello. Yes it is possible. There are two types of blood test. Quantitative and Qualiative. The quantitative measures the amount of HCG in your blood. This test is highly accurate. The qualiative is the test that can give incorrect results. With this test it only gives you a Yes or No answer. For example it will give a yes on 50MIU of HCG but a negative on lower than this. And if you have 49MIU HCG in you it will still say negative even though this is positive. Anything over 5MIU is positive. I would have the quantitative beta hcg blood test. 10 days after sex is too early to do a Qualiative blood test. However it definitely isn't too early to do a Quantitative Beta HCG Blood Test which will measure the amount of HCG present in your blood and is a highly accurate test in confirming pregnancy. You can do this test 5 days after conception.

There's directions inside the box of the test and it shows u what it looks like if u r or arent pregnant. There has been many complaints that this product gives false positives. I did a web search and many people had this problem with Clear Blue.

maybe stress is the cause its been a few times where my period was late and i started stressing and that can stop your period from coming or maybe you just need to go to the clinic or doctor and take the test sometimes home prenancy are not accurate.
