Alison has a mentally ill twin sister Courtney. Courtney switched places with Alison and it was actually Courtney who the liar's met and who was murdered. Alison hates the liars for becoming friends with Courtney and believing Courtney was Alison.

No one knows who got Ali pregnant. There are many prospective fathers though, including Officer Wilden and Ian Thomas. Since it is Pretty Little Liars though, there is always the possibility that Ali was lying about her pregnancy, or that CeCe was lying for someother reason when she initially told Emily that Ali had been worried she was pregnant before she died.

There is no true ending yet since there will be more novels coming out. What's happened so far is that "Courtney" had told the other girls to come back with her to her house, that's where they discover that the girl who died, the one who they all called Alison was actually the twin, Courtney. The real Alison was now with them at her house and was planning on killing them all in revenge. Luckily they were able to escape along with Spencer's sister, Melissa. The real Alison supposedly died in the fire but they werent sure. Alison killed Courtney after she got tired of Courtney pretending to be her. Soon it seemed like all the damage was resolved, and the girls' lives became peaceful, but somewhere, a girl was enrolled in a highschool. Her name was the perfect anagram of Alison Dilaurentis. (that's it so far.)

Ali has a twin sister who is Cortney, she the "Ali" that dies the real Ali kills her, the girls didn't know Ali had a twin and Mona is "A" because she was mad that Hannah started being best friends with the girls.

But in the last book, they find out Allisons twin, Courtney switched places with her. When they thought Allison died, it was really Courtney. The real Allison killed her out of revenge. Then she started making her sister's "friends" a living hell. They meet Allison in a mental hospital, and she befriends them.

Yes it turns out Ali has a twin sister named Courtney who made her sister go to a mental hospital instead of her. Now she pretends to be Ali and befriends the losers of the school which are Spencer, Aria, Hannah, and Emily so that Ali's friends will not see the personality difference. Later though the real Ali brakes out of the mental hospital seeking vengeance. So she takes Courtney and buries her alive but the people in ton think that she is Ali because they ever figured out about Courtney.
