Personally, most high schoolers do not act mature, it depends on what kind of maturity it is that you are seeking.
If it is in a relationship then you should become friends with them before getting really close to find out if they are what you are looking for, if it doesn't work out then there are plenty of other people in the world.
If you are just talking about being mature with your own personality, you have to think about how you act, really thinking before you act shows maturity, but if you don't think you are a mature teenager then try to work on it by taking up a part-time job to help make yourself more responsible and mature.
