What is the difference between tram idol and morphine?

User Avatar
Tramadol is an agonist-antagonist and morphine is a full agonist. I know it probably makes no sense to you, but, ill try to explain the best i can. Many years ago Drug companies wanted to make a pill that killed pain without the euphoria and addiction potential. They made a few that are still on the market today, such as Tramadol, Nubain and 2 others i can't think of off-hand. Opiates work by attaching to opiate receptors in our brain. Agonists attach and let go giving you the high and pain killing effects we all know. There are many different types of opiate receptors in the brain and its thought that if scientists can find one to bind to the correct receptor we will have our magic pain pill. Tramadol, however is associated with addiction and euphoria and, sometimes more so dysphoria. I hope this was understandable and answers your ?. BTW, morphine is a natural chemical extracted from the poppy plant and tramadol is synthetic. Once again, i am not a pharmacist, nor do i have any pharmacological training, so, be careful out there!

That really depends on what your needs are. In general, bus transportation is much better for the environment but it can be difficult to carry home groceries, for example.

What public transportation goes from Chicago O'Hare to the Naval Base in North Chicago?

User Avatar
Metra, which is the Chicago area's commuter rail system, stops near the Great Lakes naval station. The Metra line that goes there is the Union Pacific North line (or UP-North) which ends in Kenosha, Wisconsin. It departs from the Ogilvey Station just west of the Loop in downtown Chicago. The stop for the Naval Station is named "Great Lakes," and is about 75 minutes from downtown on a non-express train. Express trains cut that time to about 45 minutes. Asked in Public Transportation

Why do we need public transportation?

User Avatar
There are those who are less fortunate and they cant afford to buy a car and afford gasoline, so they rely on paying tiny fees to take a bus that takes them where they need to go EDIT: Actually public transport is more environmentally friendly ! Think how many cars could be taken off the road with just ONE bus-load of people ! The average double-decker can carry roughly 80 people - That's at least 40 car journeys less (assuming an average two people to a car) ! Answer 3 Public Transport is not just for people who cannot afford cars. It is for people who do not want to use a car, and want an alternative. Public Transport can be more comfortable and relaxing than the stress of driving. It can get you there faster and get you to places you cannot get to by car, either due to lack of road capacity or lack of parking at your destination. It can get you where there are no roads. Public Transport is not just buses, it is trains, trams, boats, airplanes and anything else the public can travel on.
