The ranchos had the cowhides and tallow brought to the pueblo, and then the pueblo would take 9 or 10 hides to the governor(s). So if the ranchos didn't produce enough hides and tallow, the pueblos didn't get enough credit, and were closed down.

well it was a very long battle but in the end someone won. it was the pueblo Indians now they had the Spanish of thier territory. so in all and all the pueblo Indians won the battle of the pueblo revolt.
