Some rabbits will eat tomatoes.

However, rabbits should never ever be allowed to eat the tomato plant, leaves, vines, stems, or any green parts etc. as they are highly poisonous to rabbits. Only the ripe fruit itself is safe.If your rabbit likes tomato, you can offer it as an occasional treat, but it shouldn't be a regular part of your rabbit's diet. The House Rabbit Society recommends no more than 2 tablespoons of treat food a day for a normal, healthy 6 pound rabbit.

See the related question below for more info and helpful links about the rabbit diet.

What is the life expectancy of a lop eared rabbit?

They can live for about 8-10 years but watch out for sicknesses like not pooping . You can find out if they are not pooping if you bring them out and within 3 minutes they don't poop IMEDIATELY bring them to the vet NEVER WAIT!. Also if their head is tilted that is not good bring them to the vet. Plus if they let you pick them up without a fight and they usually fight with you when you want to pick them up they are sick or pregnant. Keep good care of their teeth. Plus if they are not active and they usually are, they are sick. Give them hay daily it could prevent some sicknesses like not pooping.

Do bunnies leave their babies when they are born?

NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!! if you do the mother will kill them and the least you want is stinky dead kittens (baby rabbits )in the cage!!!

You should check baby rabbits soon after they are born and remove any dead ones. You are also going to count them at this point. If there are more than 8 you might want to consider fostering to another doe as a doe only has 8 teats. You can safely do this if your doe is used to you and you wash your hands using unscented soap and no lotion. If your doe seems a bit too nervous to you try putting dab of vanilla on her nose and on the nest box so that she smells the same smell on her and the nest. Examine them quickly and with as little fuss as possible. Kits should be checked every 2 or 3 days until they start hopping out of the box. Wild baby rabbits should never be touched. The mother will probably abandon them if you mess with them.

ginuea pigs heart rates are much faster than ours. your ginuea pig will be breathing faster that usual if they have been running or doing physical activity, just like us. but if it is still, you should probbably call the vet.

Can you keep baby rabbits as pets?

Rabbits can make really great pets but they're not "common sense" pets: you have to spend time learning about their care and behaviour, setting up an appropriate habitat, and finding nearby vets who treat rabbits (many vets don't; and some who do really shouldn't because they don't know enough about rabbits to treat them safely). See the related questions below for detailed info and helpful links!

What is the purpose of rabbits ears?

Besides hearing the rabbits use their ears for cooling. They do not sweat or pant to cool themselves (if you see a rabbit panting it is because he is already overheated and suffering from heat prostration). Blood circulates thru the large veins in the rabbits ear, and it cools as it does in the air.

What do rabbits and hares have in common?

Jackrabbits are actually hares.

Hares and rabbits are closely related: they belong to different genera, but they're classified in the same family (Leporidae, of the order Lagomorpha).

Hares give birth to their babies above-ground, while rabbits give birth to babies in underground burrows. Baby hares (leverets) are born with fur and they're able to see, while baby rabbits (kits) are born blind and naked.

Hares tend to have longer legs, ears, and faces than rabbits do, but there is variation between different species.

they actually dont my rabbits that breeded didnt do that i was watching them breed.

Alessandrio, they do not make a nest until 3 or 4 days before they are going to have babies. The doe may pull fur before, during or after she has her babies. She pulls fur from her dewlap and her belly. She takes the bedding you provide and makes a hallow in the nest box to kindle in and then pulls fur to cover them with. It takes 28 to 31 days from the time you see them breed until they have their babies.
