What kind of paint do you use for laminate?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The best paint you are likely to find is 'melamine' based paint. I use it a lot for cupboard doors. - Frankly, I wouldn't bother painting a countertop because no paint will stand up to daily use as a countertop and it will soon look tacky.. It's very easy to buy a sheet of laminate and fit it . Many stores sell 2x 4 sheets now.

Opinions vary. It was originally claimed that he made over 700 paintings, but the Rembrandt Research Project reduced this number to around 250. Museums often claim the higher figure. The debate about the authenticity of some of his works continues, and the attribution of many may never be settled. He also produced approximately 300 etchings, and 1400 drawings.

What subject matter did Rembrandt use?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Excerpt, and some sites: Rembrandt's subject matter was as diverse as Amsterdam and he etched myriad intimate observations from everyday life including scenes of beggars, children, animals, and various people at their professions. Many of these "genre" pieces capture the same psychological intenseness as his commissioned portraits. http://www.franklinbowlesgallery.com/SF/Artists/Rembrandt/Pages/sf_rembhome.html In the cases of The Musicians, The Mummers and The Drummers we are able to see how Rembrandt used the reflections to double the subject matter. There are nearly eighty other examples of this procedure that could be cited among Rembrandt's drawings.

Definitely the most famous is 'The Night Watch'. The other two is a matter of personal choice, since so many of his works are famous. Perhaps 'The Blinding of Samson' and 'The Man with the Golden Helmet', even though the latter may be a work by his pupils or assistants.

In 1654. Yes it was, this loving year of Rembrandts supposed improvements that he had made to the supposed painting of the "Danae", one of his most documented painting which he is said to have painted in 1636. I just love the way these Dutch art experts get all these dates that are thought to be correct so darn misconstrude and out of whack,... pardon the French.

Was Rembrandt a strictly Baroque artist?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

A painter, and sculptor.

Answer:He was exclusively a painter and printmaker. Answer:The first answer better fits this artist Rembrandt than saying he wasn't a sculptor. I believe there is a small head of Rembrandt somewhere when he was a baby or a young child that I seen in a Rembrandt book. Besides, I have a rather large bronze of his in my collection of the lost wax type, unsigned of course, and of a couple of his earlier important models as the subject matter. In a couple of more year he'll more than likely be known as just a print maker. They got his oeuvre down now to approximately 280 works on panel and canvases. That would be like saying Vincent van Gogh only painted ten paintings in his short 9 year career as a painter and only sold one.
