On a RHD Scenic it's above the drivers' right knee. Assume above left knee on LHD. Simply pull the cover off.

To remove gearbox Renault megane 1.6, one needs to first and foremost remove the gearframe from the system. Then reboot the engine and make sure that the gearframe is replaced.

Scenic fuel cap locks operate with the door system - it's a security thing - if you use the remote to unlock your doors then you will find the fuel flap will open. Of course it will lock when you use the remote to lock the doors.

the fuse is located in the main fuse box under the bonnet, when you open the bonnet in the top right hand corner of the engine bay you will find the main fuse box. there is also an auxhilary fuse box located in the top panel of the passenger glove box that are difficult to see.

hi my scenic 1.9 dti cut out and wont start,diesel getting to pump but not injectors,no power ot stop valve on pump,took iners out of valve and stil no diesel to injectors can you help thanks ken

Which engine 16v need locking tools and have floating pulleys !! If you mean what tension on belt they have a tensioner that needs to be set so points on tensioner line up

I have the same re-occuring problem on my 2001 scenic.

Good thing is its an easy fix.

There is a valve in the washer pump which changes direction depending on which washer you press and it can stick, so you just take the valve out clean it and the problem goes away until a bit of dirt gets in and the valve sticks again.

I had the same problem on my 54 plate - motor operated for front wash, but waster came out on the back screen. Following advice on other sites, I pumped the water out of the system, then topped up with some hand hot water. Let it stand for five minutes and then pump through the system. This worked at first, bu then the valve stuck again.

Rather than stripping the pump out, I found a joint in the washer pipe that runs between the offside wing and the bonner hige plate. Split the pipe at this point and then used a foot pump to blow back into the reservoir. Put a little detergent in the water and flushedit through.

The relay is part of the U.C.H unit above the facia fuse box above accelerator pedal on right hand drive models

This will vary, I personally have just had a quote on my 1.6 scenic for timing belt plus tensioners plus water pump plus labour at £260. But this will vary from garage to garage. I would not recommend that you do this job yourself if you are not a mechanic, as a mistake can be costly, if fitted incorrectly and it snaps it could bend up your valves, meaning a rebuild of the head, or replacement of head ( cheaper if got from scrapyard.)

If it is the same as the Renault Laguna, then with the ignition on and the car stationary turn the headlight stalk from 0 (off) to the sidelights (lightbulb) posistion twice consecutively. You should then hear an audible signal and a meesage will appear on the information display. Repeat the proceedure to enable.

Assuming its a Scenic 2 2003 -2009..

Its not the same as the Laguna - You get into the car, insert the card, but dont touch the pedals. All your electrics will come on. Press and hold the Auto button at the end of the indicator stalk, you will hear a beep and it comes up on the display auto lights de-activated. To re-enable you just do it again, but i think it has 2 beeps when activating, and display says auto lights activated.

It is the First one you see to the left of the engine, but it is using a high side port on the low pressure side. Who knows why, probably because its french!

what year is it? usually its the pressure switch located under the front undertray the one with pop rivets holding it in near to compressor unscrew it its on a schrader valve so no gas will come out, then go and get ripped off at Renault £107.00 for a new one! have the air con re gassed and cleaned properly then take your car in to Renault and ask them to re prorgram the ecu as this controls the air con not a relay, however by the battery and and tucked away is a fuse board you can see half a dozen or so large fuses ignore these and you will see a black sealed box above this contains more fuses its fuse number 2 if its blown but very much doubt it.......Read on if your gas gets low or pressure switch fails very very common on scenics it will send a signal to ecu telling it to stop the pump from working and the only way to get it turned on is by Renault and they charge £49 for the privelige

its the sport button for higher revs

does this happen when you want to reverse on a hill?, if so, the handbrake sensor thinks the car is slipping and keeps the handbrake engaged, so you need to manually release the handbrake by pulling it (exactly the same way as you engaged it)

Hi I can answer this having just encountered same problem. In my case low fuel light being on for a while caused 30 amp power relay to blow - changed the 30 amp fuse (located in fusebox under bonnet) disconnected and then reconnected battery to re-boot system and engine started first time! Hope this helps. - gibbo.

For a Right hand drive, depending on age..... 53+ reg (scenic 2), on the left side inside the car, early shape (Scenic 1) its on the drivers side on the pedal assembly

hi, just had same problem on my 2004 model, cost £40 for diagnostic test and it was the camshaft sensor whiich is located between the first and second spark plug looking from the right side of engine m.a.

You can't top up the auto fluid, it's what Renault call a sealed unit, but I do believe it can be done by a Renault agent because it's very difficult and needs specialized equipment.

This could be absolutely any thing, even down to a faulty sensor. The easiest and quickest way to solve this may be to have a mechanic plug a diagnostic tool into your car.
